do you see the selected tanks on the minimap? i didnt - infact there was a whole team running around on the map. this was like that for the whole round. what is odd, you see this other tank in east, but there also was infantry fighting in south. it also didnt show enemy vehicles though we had a radar close enough. i also noticed placed freshly placed buildings show up with a very long delay. i really, really hope this is something rare.
it only started during the round, it happend like a minute or two before i took the screenshot. took me a while to figure out what is wrong and why i cant see my team anywhere ...
Does it though? I agree that I can never find it when I have to, but usually after i while i can spot it. I think it just sometimes forgets to refresh the map for some bizzare reason, like I got ran over by a tank that, according to the minimap, was supposed to be well away or killed by a person that should be behind the hill. Now whats going on in this screenshot, Ive no idea, never had this bug.
The minimap has always been buggy for me with things disappearing or building icons being shown in the wrong place.
yes, i wouldnt complain about that either - though ofc it would be great to fix it aswell. anyway, what i reported was on a whole different scale - the amount of players you see on the above screenshot stayed the same till the game ended which still took several minutes, 1 tank and as someone states in chat there have been 11 players on my team. but actually the worst is, im not sure though since how could i (radar stealth), it might not have shown enemy vehicleS that it should have shown me ...
True, though I think that not updating and placing wrong icons are two separate problems. One forgets the correct icon, the other the correct location. I might be wrong obviously, might be some stupid glitch that makes the whole thing go haywire. I think Candles once said that minimap code is one of the worst.
oh right, i dont see myself on the minimap either, didnt notice - obviously i knew where i was (top left)
