ok ill start this thread going just give some features that could be added to a map... just add the ideaz bridges raisable swing destructable rope tank stoppers czech hedgehogs bollards-lowarable one way tank ramps/walls infanty cover bunkers trenches sandbags no go zones water walls pit
just an idea about buildable trenches... I know you cant deform the map in real time but how about this? The trentch is fully formed in the map but is covered up. Once the engie has put enough points into building it what ever is covering up the trenches disapers. Throwing enough damage at it makes the cover reaper killing any one in the section trentch. How does this sound?
I've suggested something similar to that before, but the trenches would wither be square or take a lot of work. And by swing bridge I'm assuming you mean a rope bridge, not a bridge that opens to the side. To make that you would simply (or not) put some planks together with some phys_constraints. Trees and craters also make good infantry cover.
Yea it would so its unlikly to ever happon. The only thing I see bad about this would be could you blow out individual planks or can you rebuild the bridge as a whole. Also trees could be used to block tanks but allow infantry. Something that might be usefull...
we need more brush and groundcover type stuff. Caves/tunnels in some of the maps would be sweet, like in pvk_island.
Actually, I did mean one that opens to the side :D And people are right about trenches, they would be damn hard to pull off well. This is Broccoli, saying 'Yes!' to map interaction!
