The differnce between dolls, action figures, and just figures isent exactly visible.

Dolls are can be made from plastic or cloth, depending.

Action figures are made from metal and plastic, screws in some places.
They can also bend move around ect.

Figures that hes selling are made from plastic molds or metal but cannot be moved, and require assembly. They are for display purposes only while the other two are designed for playing with.

The prices are higher than the other two because of the materials that are used, and are collective manufactured.
Now dolls and action figures can be coined for some nice cash, but dont equal up to the value that are the display figures.
Unless your the type to keep them in their boxes.
In that case the prices can be matched.

    Holy shit.
Are action figures called action figures because they can do actions like bend and move? Or are they action figures because they are figures of action heroes?

Actually hasbro dident even think of it like that.

An action figure is a posable character figurine, made of plastic or other materials, and often based upon characters from a film, comic book, video game, or television program. These action figures are usually marketed towards boys and adult collectors. It is argued that action figures are particularly popular with boys because they represent traditional masculine traits and are closely associated with the public sphere.[1] While most commonly marketed as a children's toy, the action figure has gained wide acceptance as an adult collector item. In such a case, the item may be produced and designed on the assumption it will be bought solely for display. Action figures are also known as action dolls.

The term "action figure" was first coined by Hasbro in 1964, to market their G.I. Joe figure to boys who wouldn't play with dolls (A similar toy named Johnny Hero was introduced by Rosko Industries for Sears in 1965, but was known as a "Boy's Doll" since the term action figure had not gained widespread usage at that point.). G.I. Joe was initially a military-themed 11.5-inch figure proposed by marketing and toy idea-man Stan Weston. It featured changeable clothes with various uniforms to suit different purposes.

Only natural they would start sexualizing figures.
Easier to write it off as, boys being boys.
Its just some of them take it a little too far.

I am friends with a popular blogger (gets 10,000 views a day). figmation is a sponsor for him now. I've been trying to get my site on his site ;(.

*edit... figmation likes are most likely fake according to my friend (the popular blogger)* but he gets money from this sponsor, so he cant say it in public.

i am trying to set up a partnership with some high traffic figure/anime sites. trying to work out the terms and conditions and how much i have to pork out to be a partner (have my ad there).

and im thinking of using facebook ad... but thats expensive. =(

*eugh* i think my blogger friend is going to charge me 30-40 dollar per month for an ad :(

Make your side bar ad look more respectable, and less like an ad that looks like it would give you a virus after dumping you out to a hentai website, if you were ever dumb enough to click on it. Sex sells, but not on the internet, because we have tried and true porn websites.

preorder site. if i have all these figures already, i'd cost me 800 USD right now lol. msot of these wont come out until june-july.

i guess people have to trust me with their money for 5-6 months lol.

most stores do preorders and the store will order a few for their stocks. like if a preorder is getting a lot of order, the store would probably order a few more to sell.
