I have not seen this reportd or discussed, but lately I had seen a lot of use of an apparent new bug and it is only getting worse at abuse. One way or another, infantry units are now able to get inside refineries to hide. Seems the only way to kill the hiding offender is using 9 mines. I recently saw numerous persons hiding in such a refinery, only to wait till they though the main base was emtpy, to come pouring out of it. Is anything being done about this?
NF or BE? I know it's possible to prone under the NF ref, but I've never had problems shooting the person under there. But I don't know about of any BE ref problems.
yesterday night 4 of us were trying to kill a guy in an NF ref... he was UP IN the ref... like inside the curved part you could just barely see his feet sticking out the bottom... 9 mine did not kill him... he just kept using his calc to try and kill the ref while 4 ppl tried to kill him... I eventually worked my way to where he was but when I got in there it was imposible to kill him even though I was inside... it just kept directing all my shots and hits at the ref and not him.
So he actually got inside it? Hmm, I'll take a look into that. I've never actually tried standing up once prone under it.
You can't get up. If he's inside the ref just let the asshole decon it, sure it's 100 res but afterwards he'll be pretty exposed.
It could still do with fixing, and Smithy is looking at hitboxes at the moment anyway, so I might as well add it to the list if that's the issue.
yes... once you get to a certain point under the ref you can stand up and get stuck inside.. it took me alot of doing to get in there.
If anything I'd say that this is a code issue with prone, i see no issues where someone could remain hidden other than being able to stand when underneath it. Refinery physics pic.
make it impossible to crawl in the ref by extending the physic down. problem solved. Doesn't fix the prone code problem but, it is a really fast and easy solution.
I've done it before, I just went prone and I randomly tried standing up somewhere if I recall correctly, got stuck , started jumping went up and up and up etc.
