So, it's been 40 days since your last update. How is Cold Trap doing? Have you guys made some good progress?
No lol. But we're still going. The sad fact is it's kinda hard to pin people down at this time - work and school projects/exams. Meaning that because we have a large team, people are doing things in bits and pieces. It's been quite frustrating for some of us, but I hope we're getting on track now. I keep saying we've got time, as Dies Irae is sure to come out before us, and Empires is still going. But we've had some interesting concepts and some nice artwork flying around. We're still going, going slow though. It'll speed up once we get to run around in game and throw things in
Would it possibly be that you're getting FPS lag, or mabye its the server that is lagging or possibly you have a high ping, if it isnt FPS lag then it isnt the engine then it isnt UE3 thats just server support, nothing to do with the engine. Also source does lag, its hitboxs are clientside so if someone moves on their screen their hit box is around 2 feet behind them on you're screen and you can kill them even if their player model is behind cover, infact source has so many quirks I don't have the time to talk about them. ' Its a problem with the tick rate in their code, which honestly they'd need to do an engine overhaul to fix I THINK but not to sure, look at DOD:S and CSS you'll see blood come out of thin air occasionally and someone 4 feet away from that will get hit or die, thats what I am talking about.
