That's a typical response I get when I ask about upcoming features or necessary retooling of existing features. The only issue is that some of these have been going on for so long. So, to start, is the GUI really being taken care of as of late?
If you want to find out more about upcoming features go to the Empires SVN thread and install Empires SVN. That is the current 2.25 revision and you can find out for yourself what the changes are. Many of the changes will stand out. Then maybe post about what is not fixed or what you would like to see. Certain key features have been added which are posted in the suggestion implemented thread and you can see for yourself.
I'm aware of the SVN, having been a tester for sometime. However, there are just features that we never hear about that besides the fact that they're being "worked on." See, the GUI. I had the impression that Brutos was working on it. It was disconcerting when dizzyone said there was nothing, so I'm kind of confused.
It's being worked on is usually a moniker for "It's on the todo list, but other things have priority". This is true for the GUI. Other things have priority, but it's being worked on.
I hope balance and graphical improvements include making the game easier to understand for new players.
If making different weapons more recogniseabe and fixing blast radii makes the game more intuitive then yes, you faithless whiny pain in the ass.
if making game features follow some sort of logical consistency comes after fixing exploits and bugs and before solely aesthetic enhancement, i'm all for that.
Actually Brutos said he would definately be working on it, but not for 2.25 because he's busy. He would get to it after that. I do think he posted that at least twice, maybe more.
I thank everybody that is speaking for me, but could you please stop that? I am pretty sure that I can do that myself. Posting that you heard, from someone who has been told from someone who has talked with someone who has read it somewhere really does not help against confusion.
