Speaks for it self. When the mapper has restricted lvl 2 and lvl 3 turrets, then the turret upgrade skill is dissabled(As it is obsolete).
Eh, let them learn the hard way LOL. Actually it's not a bad idea... but what about maps with restricted lvl3 only, it's a diminished skill at that point yet the player would be used to "if I can pick it I can use it". Ideas?
Just let it roll, level 2s are nearly as good anyway. Add a little message when they try to upgrade a second time though, rather than a simple greyed out icon.
what about making turret upgrade selectable twice? once for lvl 2, once for lvl 3 like an engineer should select his first skill as "turret upgrade" and his second as "turret upgrade" to be able to build lvl 3s agreed, it would nerf the skill, but then again it IS one of the most powerful skills early game anyway if used appropriate you could then make it be selectable once or twice or not at all depending on how much the max level is (lvl 2, lvl 3, no turrets)
Well, I do fidn this idea interesting. But I think that if we do this, we should rename the skill. I would say, 1 "turret upgrade" max, giving you 1 extra turret. That way you can have 3 lvl 1 turrets at max. If lvl2s are enabled then Turret Upgrade behaves as normal, giving you the ability to upgrade your turret. How about that
Well, you sugested that Turret Upgrade should be changed incase you can only build lvl1s or lvl2s? And you also sugested that you can choose the skill once or twice depending on wheter lvl2s or lvl3s are enabled? Well, I sugest that if that is the case, then the turret upgrade skill is dissabled(if lvl2s are restricted) and that instead you can build an extra turret(lvl1) with a new skill. So in the end, you can have 3 lvl 1 turrets, 1 you haev by deault, the other you get when recieving 40 points and an extra turret with the "extra-turrent" skill. Now, do you understand me now :D?
yes, but it seems kinda weird why would you want that? mostly maps have turret levels restricted because they are dull with too much turrets be it levels or amounts
i was talking about the trade of having level 2 or 3's traded into an extra turret slot when the map does not support level 2 or 3's its like, limiting turret levels is a way to make it harder to defend on certain maps, but if you just swap your chance to have a level 3 for an extra turret that just defies the whole reason why you removed level 3's on your map
okay, you are confusing me so il keep it very simple more then 2 turrets per engineer is bad 1 extra turret level per turret upgrade perk is good maps can limit the amount of turret upgrade perks you can pick at one time is good do you still agree?
