Sometimes one or more rows are preselected at commander voting screen (mostly on empty voting screen). When I opt in and want to vote for myself it doesn't work. The preselection just stays. Only if someone else opt in then I can vote him and switch then the vote to myself.
This is a feature, no one should be voting for you as com. think of it as a hard code com ban... j/p ^_^ But yeah, screens don't reset after the map changes, for some reason. This is especially true for research, because sometimes I'll hop in com and some weird random tree is open, like the last thing I researched as com. i've never bothered to try and research anything in that tree though .

Necroing a very old thread, this still happens: I was unable to vote for certain people because the UI label was already selected. Assuming Empires uses the VGUI2 code from the 2013 SDK, and uses ListPanel, then these methods are involved: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/so.../mp/src/public/vgui_controls/ListPanel.h#L158 Calling ClearSelectedItems when starting a new match would solve this.
