Does someone have a backup? I think it's rather rude and unpolite to remove someones article to make place for your own.
I pointed it to the disambiguation, but feel free to point it to something better: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Empires&action=history
HAHAHA the shitty band isn't even listed on the disambiguation page Edit: Holy shit their music is boring. Looks like they already redirected it twice to their shitty band page. Let's see how long this lasts.
There's a shitty band named Empires. They made a redirection so if you enter "Empires" it would lead to their site, as opposed to the "Empire" disambiguation page. They also seem to have done this at least twice. Since Krenzo's OP this change was reverted by CB. Let's see if they'll do it a third time.
If you look in the edit history, you'll notice that wicketthewok was originally responsible for the redirect to the empires band page. He's the one responsible for Empires' article being removed from wikipedia the first time. I'm betting this is another misusage of admin powers, but it's not like you can't stop that.
No, he was the one originally responsible for making it redirect to the "Empire" page, the one that talks about a generic Empire. That's what he did when he deleted the original Empires article, but admins definitely abuse their powers. You can read all about it from previous admins who have left in disgust and posted tell alls in their blogs.
Shut up you gay ass punkrock vegan. You can't be lame with a name like krenzo. Plus I could rap for dayz on his dope beetz. fasheez my kneez
Really? The archived discussion of the deletion issue, which you can get here, shows he added the deletion notice.
He did the redirect when he added the deletion notice, the redirect was to Empire, not the shitty band.
Reading up on that, I have a lot of interesting arguments to prevent Empires from ever being placed on Wikipedia again (I wouldn't want to give them the satisfaction of leeching off of our imminent popularity).
