I can tell that that stick figure in the distance is a BE Engineer Why is that the BE Engineer is wears the right clothing such that anyone who plays Rifleman on NF would see from a distance which enemies are certainly don't have bodyarmor or an RPG. They are first ones to get shot at because of their unique looks are quickly assessed as: No body armor No rifle or HMG No RPGs/mortar Dinky SMG Heals people Revives people Repairs buildings and vehicles Course of action: Kill weak but valuable enemy player. But on the NF it seems every class shares the same model. I can't tell if that person is an Engineer or Rifleman from a distance. Whether I should run or fight. So why does the BE Engineer stand out so much?
Because all the classes are supposed to look different, but they haven't got anyone to do the rest of the classes.
If I'm on NF as a scout and I see a Brenodi engineer, I either engage them immediately since they can't kill me or I wait for them to build something so I can sabotage it.
You can distinguish them? I just follow a 'shoot anything that moves' policy that works pretty well for me.
Would you rather shoot the rifleman who can only shoot at infantry, or would you rather shoot at the engineer who could not only shoot at infantry but build that barracks which becomes the deciding factor, revive the rifleman you just shot down, build a turret to deny you access to an area, and repair that vehicle you just damaged. Given the choice I'll eliminate the engineer. The others can't build nearly as fast nor can they revive fallen teammates. On another note, its frustrating as hell when you're on NF, you need a medic and you can't tell who's an engineer who can heal you.
Some people like to act like they have a sticky nade and run towards a tank to make it fall back. When in reality its just a smoke nade or something.
Some tank drivers actually jump out and attack you, which is when you machinepistol them, which is hilarious.
i hate it when you think you see an NF engi but when you start shooting them, you realize that he is a NF riflemen
Could be fixed with a simple scaling of the 3rd person model. Also, simple helmet icons for all NF soldiers, to distinguish between them.
