Just curious, how do many of you stream in sound/music directly into the game? Kind of like Omneh's epic 1812 Overture finishing exactly when a game of Escort finished.
HLSS Google it. Once you've downloaded it, follow the dystopia tutorial. Only replace dystopia with empires.
oh, so that's what he means yes, I do it all the time also, yes, I believe mute should be removed because it discourages teamplay
if you have vista, but dont use a mic, learn2stereomix. WAY better than HLSS. But I use my mic so I dont ever have it enabled. (note, vista stereo mix can only be used with speakers enabled)
You might be able to play it for 5 seconds, which is about the amount of time it takes for me to mute you.
Why are we telling people how to do this? Hearing people play shit in game has to be one of the most annoying things around. Sometimes worse than griefing.
i find it rather annoying unless used rather sporadic and on appropreate times (endgame win/lose, midst of battle to keep morale high, etc)
I agree. There are plenty of idiots playing music while in game. Why create more? How about we perma ban some of them to make an example? Then no one will dare to play HLSS again.
I'd like to use this for classical pieces stolen from other games like MOH: Airborne, where you can nearly imagine the trumpetists crying with American pride
Except, that in some cases like when making that final attack, it's great. But for people who do it in the middle of nothing.. Mute
In Zombie Panic Source, I often play Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" and Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz". Both of them fit moods surprisingly well, but admins for most part are tight-assed about HLSS.
that's because the people who ask for people to stop are the same kind of people we don't want to play with (noobs)
The only times I object are when either... a) their music sucks. b) quality is awful. c) they keep playing it over again.
I really don't understand how you can complain about it when the mute feature was developed with such a situation in mind. I dont mind, unless it's low-quality death metal blargnoise.
Problem is, somehow the mute didn't work for me. I tried muting an annoying 12 year old's voice and it didn't work, but probably just for that one time.
