Yes people are stupid that way... So when is it scheduled for? I want to know if I should stick around home tomorrow.
at least angry hillbilly would have a problem to join... ok... i now go and wash out my mouth with soap...
Okay, It is today, just to clear things up, but I have a major case of the flu, so I might not be there. In any case, Sandbag will be leading it, I hope
lmao :p also too bad about the flu, surely you could sit wrapped around a blankey and hotwater bottle at the computer directing us :D
Alright, I was ''acting'' in this trailer for a few hours.. But then I saw, that this was not a trailer for empires, but for something even more horrible! Don't click this if you know you got a weak stomach: I hope the trailer is good thought :p
I was acting too. It was good, great effort from Private Sandbag... but: a player named DrFrankstein (or something like that) was repairing the turret and it took us a few minutes to yell at him and eventually kick him out. We should kick faster if someone doesn't react to commands. Director not having a microphone is a really bad idea. A mic in my country costs about $3. Explaining stuff over chat takes forever. Preparing scenes and taking positions takes forever. We could have written instructions and drawn diagrams with possible positions marked on screenshots here on forums, BEFORE we start filming, so the director says "prepare for scene 1" and everyone knows what to do. I am sure that it would shorten the filming process slightly, so we would have more material in the same time. We had two cameras. If we were recording a demo by the halflife2 engine, cameraman can hold still looking at the ground and the full demo will record anyway. The good view can be aquired in offline, post-production process when we have a recorded .dem file and a screen->avi capture software. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I am wrong, we should have much more than two cameras to get more good views of the action.
to many "actors" think they can bitch around and do stuff that hinders everything, and yes BUY A ******* MIC Sandbag
The funny thing was, he wasn't kicked, he was BANNED :p I just hope I'll get into the credits and that the editing works fine, sure could take another day to make some more work if needed.
lmao! filming was great. ALOT of it was spent "ok now med tanks line up.....OH DEAR LORD NO! DON'T ATTACK THAT" or "please stop attacking that..ok ready? OK! wait...wait.....that tank get back...no not there..the other place...yes ther...no!"
Not as good as the last one.... People were not as interested in making footage, which was a shame. But still some very funny moments even with people causing trouble.
several players got banned, because they didnt behave right. (im sure Frog forgets to unban them) how many players got banned during the filming Frog?
DrFranksen - STEAM_0:1:13200845 (Ignoring requests not to repair things) Rush - STEAM_0:0:6420851 (Shooting at team during setup period) Both bans were because they would not stop even when asked. There were plenty of people being idiots though - for example, the person (i could name you) who thought it was "funny" to drive an APC into NF's base and running them over on the last map while they were filming the "building scene". - Multiple times. The commander had to put up walls to stop people coming up and screwing the filming at NF base - Its completely stupid on a server thats been taken out of "public mod" and is dedicated to filming. Whats so hard about "do not come to the NF base"? Its these people which made the whole thing take twice as long as needed, and will slim the chances of something else like thing happening again...
As I said, next time we are filming we should: have a written scenario on forums have a director with a mic enforce discipline by kicking players I would like to add, that while filming we should be steady. If we are set on positions, we should: not move not jump not build not play with changing weapons (pressing 123123) not pressing e to beep like crazy not spin Your mouse vertically or horizontally (or both) not play with a flashlight not use steamfriends communication, because You can miss director commands while chatting/browsing/whatever etc That would really help people stay concentrated on the task. Also, noone but the director and his assistants should use the allsay and if someone has a question/complaint, he should ask his team assistant on teamchat. There should be: Director AdminAssistant (kicks idiots, operates the server, watches if players behave as they should) NF team assistant - directs the NF team BE team assistant - directs the BE team CV should stand as close as possible to rax so the director can easily switch teams and get into the CV. He should be the only one to build (exception: if scene involves building something, assistant director can do the commanding while director is filming).
