The one thing that really stood out to me (Other than the visuals, of course) about Modern Warfare 2 was the fantastic music. I enjoyed it so much that I implemented it into the Empires SourceMod. It sounded great, so I have decided to release and share it to you all. Replaces all ingame music. Merry Christmas!

You can have it randomly select a sound to play by taking the name and adding ##. ## being 2 numbers (it must always be 2. If you are dealing with anything below 10, you must type 0#). As far as I know this is a function built into source and will work for any sound. In his case I'm guessing team player is start01.wav, and going loud is start02.wav. The game will randomly select one of the two at round start.

Are you sure that doesn't only apply to gamestartup.mp3?

I could be wrong, but I am fairly certain. gamestartup is the menu music, when the game itself starts, as far as I know.

Well it's just I've never heard of such a thing before, except for the gamestartup music.

He's saying if you make an mp3 called gloom01.mp3 and another called gloom02.mp3 it randomly chooses.
    I'm not so sure.

    I might go test it.

My music isn't playing ingame for some reason
    Any ideas?

(It's not music volume, music volume doesn't even affect empires' music)

I think the sounds NEED to be in PCM Waveform format. Might be wrong. Game engines tend to be really anal about that stuff.

Standard MP3s work fine in source.

And the normal music won't play either.

If you want me to, I'll just make a WAV style format for this release. Although I'm not sure if Empires only reads designated files that end with an mp3 (e.g. In a script or something, It says "plaehzorz soundz gloom.mp3").
