Often times I find myself unable to download maps from the server despite having my settings enabled to do so, it will do everything else then end with "X map is missing", and as a result I can't play. So does anybody either have a master zip of every map or a solution?
Cyberkiller has a map pack of all current custom maps. http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=18454 I've had that happen before, but I can't quite remember why it does that or how I fixed that. Oh, Maps that are currently being worked on like doc's maps aren't in there, but you can find them in the respective threads. Ha... viper does have the hobbs map still in there. Someone said it was wiped from the server. I demand to play it!
Do keep in mind that that is not a list of maps that are played on VIPER, but a list of maps available to be downloaded from VIPER. On top of that, that file won't necessarily include the minimap, res file, custom textures and other things that are necessary to actually play the map. So yes, you can download the map itself from that, but that doesn't mean you'll be able to play the map with it.

Easy way use something like httrack http://www.httrack.com/ Download every map, Material, Don't forget to un zip the maps. Or uses something to auto unzip them Merge with your empires.

It was an obstacle course map. It has a name within CS:S but I forget it. I actually enjoyed it but the swap from hard collisions to soft collisions broke it because teamwork was required to get over some areas. It was fun to play for like 5v5 or something, it was really just a case of who could make it to the end first. It usually took like 20-30 minutes if I remember correctly.
Well, I suppose I can. I mean, it took an awful lot of work to figure that one out, but it shouldn't be too hard to revert.
If you do that, then you can make sure that emp_deathkillers works by putting that line into its cfg file.
