This idea came into my mind, not really a clan, but a group of people. Empires Role Playing Gamers ERPG Server is [BSID] Server Special Thanks to Thor and the [BSID] Clan for this This would be for very serious Emp-Gamers, no newbie bs. You can join if your already in a clan, or not. Its just a group of people who would like a more serious, role-playing side of Empires. I would like to ask anyone who's willing to run a server for it, but have it password protected and given only to those within the group. So here are the rules for this. 1. Respect fellow players, teamates and yourself. 2. There is NO RAMBO. rely on your team, remember you are just a soldier, alone you are nothing. With many you are pretty much, a team ;/. 3. Play in role, as a soldier, whatever is needed. 4. Semi-Permanent Teams - You may only trade players to sides. 5. Game doesnt start till each side is even, and roles picked out. 6. Map Split, each side owns half of the map. (optional) 7. No Newbies, unless a Newb who understand the dynamics of the game and wants to participate in a role playing side of the game. 8. Its ok, to be a little silly, just dont be retarded, goes to respecting yourself ;p 9. Game will have Friendly Fire (i think it works) To simulate realism. So dont shoot teammates.{only exception see below} 10. Have Fun. The Role Playing Element Clarified RP Element is not D&D-Like, you dont have to type all that nonsense. Nor is it really leveling up, well there is rank but thats different. Its just taking your role, and acting on it. Soldiers should worry more about frontlines. Engineers should worry about buildings, tanks and defences etc. Anti-Armor should worry about providing heavy fire support. Medics should worry about those in danger. Heavy Support should worry about giving grunts covering fire, or flush tactics. So really, you can add some lines that you think you would say if you were set in the empires universe. But its basically playing more seriously with some limitations due to your role. Roles are based on New Roles Selection -------------------------------------- Grunt - Soldier Class {<Standard AR only>Selects only 1 class Skill, and/or 3-4 General Skills<your choice>} Heavy Support - Soldier Class {<Heavy Rifle or HMG Only>1-2 class Skills only, and/or +2-4 Gen Skills} Medic - Engineer Class -{<SMG 2 Only>Has the Revive and Healing Abilities} Engineer - Engineer Class -{<SMG1 (or 3 for NF)>Repair and Other Abilities Except Revive and Healing} Recon - Scout Class {<Scoped or SMG1>} Anti-Armor - Grenadier Class -------------------------------------- The limitations are to limit some things that may be abused, but also I thought it worked better than limiting the number of roles. And it adds a sense of realism. The only number thats required is based on 12vs12 is 5 Grunts per team. Vehicle Limitations. ---------------------------------------------------- Tank Certificates. ----------------------------- Light/Med/Hvy/Arty Limit to 2 Tank Certificates. Requires 4 Witnesses to Acknowledge that you are deserving. *Jeeps and APCs do not need a Certificate.* **AFV's count as Light Tanks, therefore require Certificate** ------------------------------------------------------- Class Limitations. Plus I think doing that is lame.** Vehicles are Locked to the Comm. Commander and LT commander, have the ability to temporary give a soldier a vehicle out of their class or lack a certificate. Except ENGINEERS. Engineers limits are permantly locked. Also Certificates allow the pass of the Class - Vehicle Limitation. Except on Engineers. Engineers sacrifice vehicles to be an only Defense - Repair Support class. To reach in the ranks of Commanders, must be nominated and agreed on your team. Ranks. Commander - Main Commander LT.Commander - If Commander is out of Commision, Takes CV. Sub. Commander - If Both are out of commision, Takes CV. --------------------------- Commander Perks and Rules --------------------------- Commander - All Teamates Respect and Follow Command, Either In CV or Not. LT.Commander - All Teamates Respect Command but has right to refuse his/her order. Outside of CV. Sub. Commander - All Teammates Respect Command while aboard the CV. All Classes are Availible to Commander Characters. And are not bound to limits. But must be in control and non-abusive. --------------------------- Keep Calm even if you are in the deepest shit. Fight the battle to the end. Commander may issue death warrants on cowardly soldiers, or those who refuse his/her orders.{Only Given to Commander} If Commander is found guilty of Abuse of this special perk, he will be stripped of rank, and has to goto frontlines while having 6 Death Warrants. Once Served, he will be demoted to a Private. Commanders must have a set list of research, he/she feels will most benefit the team, as so shouldnt be brought upon the soldiers on the field. I would like 24-26 gamers in the Empires community to take part. Sign up for a Team. Team Roster Displayed Below Teams will be shuffled per 2 campaigns. Each Team switches side every campaign. Team 1 BE vs Team 2 NF > Team 1 NF vs Team 2 BE > Shuffle Shuffle will be simply me putting names in a hat, and pulling one out for each side. That way teams would be mixed up a little. Hmm... Somewhat confused by what your trying to do. Is this simply a match where everyone plays the role of a soldier, can only die once, and makes the match look like a real battle? As you can see I'm confused. Please elaborate.
I interpret it as sort of a GMOD rpg. You set yoru roles and act it out. The skies is the limit. You chose what you do, meaning actual battles. It's like regular Empires playing, but more dramatic.
Ok, Well to make clear of this, its not really GMOD, but maybe that can be a possibility... hmm Im hoping to get someone to start a server, or a server might lock down and let us play for a bit. The game will consist of Campaigns, lasting 2 days then the week after another Campaign. A Campaign will be all the maps that somehow simulate the actual war, so no emp_money ;p. So each week we'd play a campaign (if i remember theres like 12maps for empire?) so like 6 maps each day. We'd post Each teams Deaths/Wins. So it'd be like this, Emp_Badlands - BE/xx - NF/xx - Battle Won By XX Emp_Island - BE/xx - NF/xx - Battle Won By XX and so on. Also deaths will be multiplied to simulate actual deaths, so like every person that died would be like, 2 or 3? and time would be multiplied by 12. so like every 5 minutes an hour would pass in the fictional setting. so we play for an hour, we played half a day in Empires time. My new computer is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but this weekend I'll be 300 miles away doing an Indie Film. So by next week, we'll try and start this ^_^. Also to take a soldiers role, is like..... Acting like your actually there, so try to be serious, or act serious, but not too tight, might wanna loose up ;p. And act patriotic as you can. Insult the other team but not too much to cause a flaming war, since this is not to fight eachother, well it is, but not in words XD. I would like to ask Don, or any of the creators how the maps would go in chronological order. (misspell ;o?) And if so, who won each map, if theres an awnser for that, private message me if you read this and tell me so we can do a little contest or something. now i gotta edit the list so we can squeeze more people in =)
6 maps a DAY, i'll be brain dead by the end of it. could you bring that number down a bit. like 6 is a bitty extream
ok, ill move it to 4 for 3 days or 3 for 4 days you guys choose ;p but then again, we'd have to move it from weekly to every 2 weeks. or 1/2 a campaign a week.
3 in one day sounds nice, but if it's escort/district, make it the only map, since that can easily stretch to 3 hours.
I was about to disclude those two, but if you guys want it, then im ok. just gotta remember which maps to include, havent played since august, so I dont remember the maps by heart .
