Empires Summer Scrim League Signup Thread - Teams + Captains within

The Empires Summer Scrim League has finalised. It will commence from Saturday the 13th of June. See this thread for various points about rules and such, but I don't intend on typing them up again. I'll list the basics here.

The Empires scrim league is a planned series of games with persistent teams across several weeks. Once you join a team, you will play with that team for every game until the league ends. Teams will be lead by the chosen captains listed below. Anyone is free to join either team and there are no other requirements for you to join, other than a willingness to be involved in far more tactical games than your average Empires pub.

The scrim league captains are Spike & Lazybum. It is intended that it will stay this way for the duration of the "league". I have placed players within both teams to assist them in leading their team. I haven't actually spoke to all of the ones I want for Spike's team yet, but Predator will assist Lazybum. These are not specific roles, the power to designate roles and the people filling them still lies with the captain.

It is now up to the captains to recruit players for their teams.

This is for you to speak to the players if you wish to learn more about how they intend on running the team before you join, however, NEITHER TEAM LEADER CAN REJECT ANY PLAYERS. All players are welcome to join either team and if I hear of either team leader trying to be selective, I will act accordingly. Once both teams have steamgroups set up, I will list them here.






The first game will take place at 9PM BST/4PM EDT/1PM PDT Saturday 13th June assuming enough players are recruited within that time frame.

A relevant thread will be put up closer to the time.

It's not too late to join a team! Join a steam group if you want to play. There are no requirements other than joining one of the steam groups and playing for that team.

There are currently 14 people in the group I started, I'll direct the ones who don't frequent here to this thread as soon as we have group pages for the two teams and ask them to sign up for a team.

I will be joining Lazybum's team.

 

I'm signing up for Spike's team.

I am away with questionable internet connection from the 11-16th, so unfotunately I'll miss the first round, though I will be living in a tent
so will check the forums constantly! I expect good news! (Like "We Won").

Looks like I'll have to go through my group one by one and make them join a team (sigh). Sometimes steam group announcements and scheduled events just don't seem to reach people.

also lazybum's teamname is very cheap seeing as theres 5 players from quebec and they would obviously like to play for them

 

No-one should be in both groups except me. Metruption needs to pick one and get out of the other.
