nope my friend wanted to install it on his son's computer and he couldn't so I checked it out and sure enough no dld link to be found
That's odd, I can't see a link either. I'll give it a day or 2, and if nothing changes, we'll contact valve.
If you go to the steam store w/o logging in the download link is not there. But the download links are there for other games that are free like TF2 which I already own etc and as I pointed out my friend's son doesn't own it and there was no download link for him.
Looks like every mod is missing the download button. http://store.steampowered.com/app/17510/?snr=1_7_suggest__13 http://store.steampowered.com/app/17570/?snr=1_7_suggest__13 http://store.steampowered.com/app/17500/?snr=1_7_suggest__13 http://store.steampowered.com/app/17740/
the solution is in that topic. the download link doesnt show up because you arn't allowed to download it unless you have source sdk 2007 (copyrighted materials and whatnot)
He had css installed when trying to find the link on empires steam page, I believe that comes with source sdk 2007 unless he didnt install that I dunno.
"Hey guys, this mod thing hasn't sent an update to their content in over a year, probably nobody plays it or cares about it, maybe we should delete the files from our servers and save up space?"
That isn't correct. As in, that's nothing to do with why the download doesn't work. As someone said, it's the same for every mod. As for updates, it just doesn't work like that.
Did not see a link on the store page on my laptop where Portal 2 is installed. Strange that it applies to ALL mods on Steam, bug or feature, that's the question.
