Broken maps (from what I've seen so far): emp_crossroads. Chequerboard skybox when running in full HDR (if bloom is on, or no HDR at all then its fine). I tried rebuilding cubemaps which didnt help (if someone else wants to try then feel free) emp_slaughtered. Oh dear god. Skybox is screwed. emp_noreturn (ive never heard of it either). No minimap. Anything I've missed?
Candles also says the water on slaughtered is broken. He thinks both slaughtered and crossroads will need recompiled. I've checked the skyboxes on all maps with hdr off, but if someone wants to do it with hdr on that'd be great
It has a minimap, just the absolute barest possible minimap. I've never even heard of it before though.
This. It was meant for 1/16th scale testing of aircraft like 7 years ago or something, MOOtant restored it when he went through his aircraft coding phase. It's not meant to be playable for anything else.
what about that deserteagle map. The one with the two capture-able areas in the middle that you can literally drive off with. And if you play the map long enough you can get a flying blimp fortress.
ohh so its original name was desertstrike and then changed to mondoon? I have like 4 versions of the map.
Is that why the mondoon maps have that why there is the RA eye that floats in the middle of the map and there are weird ass shit in the bunkers that scream and have txt on the ceiling?
I asked Varbles for the slaughtered.vmf, he doesn't have it right now but he'll get it to me as soon as possible. I can do any recompiles of any maps needed, but I'd need the .vmfs for some of them that we don't have and, if at all possible, I'd like to know the specific options passed by the mapper when compiling.
Are you gathering all files Candles? I gave my vmf's to Trickster, but from reading your post I remember I'll have to add the detail files and compile parameters as well. If I forget to link to them, remind me.
I have an emp_slaughtered_alt_rc4 in my emp mapping folder, could it be it? We just named the .bsp emp_slaughtered later on. (I remember I fixed something on it).
You might need to use the source sdk binaries inside "..\Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer\bin" as the source sdk that is in the tools menu of steam isn't for source 2013. All source 2013/steampipe source games have the source sdk inside the game's bin folder now.
