I think they're slightly meshing it with the next book because I saw a bit which I know doesn't happen until the book after, but still, it looks fucking awesome. Still another month until air though WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

 

Should i read the books and spoil the TV show for me?

What? Seriously, I barely read books any more but I'm 5 books in and they're easily the best series I've ever read. It's really rare that I can actually get into any books but I'm totally hooked with these.

As for spoling the TV series, I would guess that the TV series is going to need 7-10 series, so fuck waiting that long to get to the end of it. I just figured that by the time the series comes up I won't remember a decent amount of the book so it'll be pretty fresh.

 

I only read the first book, found it OK. I'm also in the interesting position of having read half the first book before the show and the whole book again after it (because the German publisher splits the books up in two which cost more each than the English version costs). Therefore I got part of the TV show spoiled by the book and part the other way round.

I should have said "don't bother reading it before you see the show". The strength of both is the plot (as opposed to, for instance, language), and the show sticks pretty close to the book while keeping it concise, so not much is lost by watching the show first.

Also, chances are, if you like the show you'll like the books, but you're not in a hurry. Actually, you might benefit from reading and watching the same story, just to not lose track of all characters and sideplots.

 

Holy shit, just scrolling down the comments makes me want to asphyxiate every single spammer with my bare hands. I don't want to go to cheap50.com, fuck off. The only way to enlarge your penis is growing up. I will not make money by watching short films online or having google hire me because I have the skills to click on an ad.

I don't like to mix two versions of the same story.

 

The series are awesome, I loved the voice of "Robert Baratheon", the bass in it was awesome.

Really looking forward to the next season, bye bye studies.

 

I already forgot the story of the first season. Maybe it's because i'm mostly concentrating on spoting all female cast topless. :D

 

I Watched first episode of season, wasn't really impressed, at all.
Rather have my walking dead and house.

If you read the books first, you can get the show more easily - since they don't always explain everything thoroughly.

The show is very close to the books though, and very well done - except perhaps that it has a ton of graphic content in it, which is more to do with who produced it, I guess. Some of those scenes aren't in the books, but most are.

 

Maybe, what turned you off about the show?
