Sorry, but after getting scared half to death playing silent hill in my childhood, I don't touch anything that even remotely resembles survival horror.
For the same reason why I haven't played Hitman: Blood Money, Cryostasis, the Penumbra games, Prototype games, Sleeping Dogs, etc. I have yet to finish Mirror's Edge, Crysis, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, both previous Hitman games and Just Cause 2. D:
yeah their are even myst style adventure games that a scarrier, scratches and darkness within if someone is interested
I think Bioshock would be a good experience especially if you dislike survival horrors. Its a best bet at enjoying something different. This is far from deadspace or silenthill. fucking pyramid heads.
I can't get into it for some reason. I've got 20+ hours of trying to get into it but nope; even though I ploughed through Bioshock 2 in one sitting.
More like survival/AWESOME. EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAY BIOSHOCK I haven't gotten to that half of the map yet. I'll head up there and check it out. Thanks for the tip. Oh and in FO3, everything is a little less scary when you're character is nearly maxed and you're using unique weapons&armor. I blazed through my first playthrough just following the main quest, but now I'm set up to max out my character. I think I'm almost a lvl20 and I only did the Rivet City part of the Main Quest. The game feels a lot weirder when you're a god.
Likewise I couldn't get into FO3 whereas I have >500 hours on New Vegas, on and off Steam. I think the fact that speech checks were a probability rather than a level to reach, gameplay is more important than realism. Failing due to chance just leads to autosave abuse anyway.
I'm personally waiting for Bioshock Infinite, supposedly the PS3 version with have Bioshock on the disk. If you have Point Lookout or Broken Steel It'll add some new enemies that will wreck your shit. However you can also hit level 30 now kinda unbalancing the game to your favor (not that I'm complaining). I did hate the fact that any friendly NPC out in the Wasteland was pretty much dead once you started going over level 20.
Oh jesus fucking christ my list of unplayed and unfinished games is so huge that I had to stitch two screenshots together.:eek: Bear in mind that a lot of the unfinished games I will never play again. (I'm looking at you GTA4 )
My unfinished list is mostly games I got bored of for various reasons. Bioshock 2 just felt boring, it wasn't different enough to Bioshock 1 to keep me interested. Got bored of borderlands, probably because I was playing it by myself. Burnout paradise is awesome, but I got to point where it got hard and I rage quitted (same with most racing games). CoD: United Offensive is terrible, I played it for 20 minutes then deleted it. Dead Space was boring to me, it wasn't scary enough and it just felt like a boring corridor shooter then. Far Cry 2 was too brown and every time you cleared out an area the enemies would respawn straight away making it feel annoying and pointless... (plus annoying weapon jamming...) GTA4: "HEY NIKO YOU WANT TO GO BOWLING?" Enough said. Legend of Grimrock is boring. I don't know why I didn't finish plants vs zombies. Super meat boy made me rage quit.
RE: Dead Space, give it another hour, shit gets crazy. Dead Space 2 is a different style of play too, it accepts the shooty nature of the game and does it well.
I need to split the Unfinished category into games I will give another chance and games I will never play again.
Why would you ever consider FC2 to be anything above average? It has so many annoyances i dont even care to type them.
