I don't mean like that way slow. Compere these two between each other and say which one is slower: You have to copy a 0.5MB file from one computer to another. Use either floppy disk or CD. Floppy: Copy file, floppy in, paste on floppy, writing, floppy out. Done. CD: Open burning program, open cd deck, put cd in, choose correct CD format; data, search for the file; added, start burning, starting burning, burning, click next to confirm burn has finished, cd deck out, cd out. Done. Which one used more time to copy a 0.5MB file? I prefer floppy for small files and cd/dvd for bigger. And I was planning to add a line after my picture: "No comments, I insist." But because this is Tha WW Internet that is just asking for comments. So. There you have it. That's my opinion and that's why I have a floppy drive and I have my own opinions of what is slow and what is fast speed for copying a file from a computer to another. And above all that 650MB isn't small. I meant small as either exactly 1.41MBs in size or under.
Well since we're still in 1998, I suggest you use Zips, 250 mb on a removable disk is the future! On a more serious note, if something is small, <10mb and the pc I want it on is not on LAN, I just send it to my gmail.
Floppy discs are meant for that, CD's are not. If thats your issue, your using the technology in a situation it wasn't designed for.
Ok. I delete my picture then because it obviously can't keep your mouths shut. Killx. I even said that I use the floppy disk for SMALL files which can be fit on them. Then you said how I should get a new burner because my cd drive burns too slowly... and then you say how I should buy a new burner because burning those small files would be too slow...
Lol I have a bad feeling about this. But yeh, maybe you could get a connection going between serial ports? It has a speed of 20,000 bits per second!
Maybe you could even get all fancy, 2 SSB tranceivers and start sending files over HF radio channels! Fully wireless dude, all the way upto 10kbps! (I'll quit, I'm not the one to talk anyway)
lulz, you have to train your parents the right way, thats my "workspace" from 4 years ago when i was living with my mother:
