Having a great night fencing, getting all fired up and them having to come home and sit and write a psychology report. I'M NOT EVEN STUDYING PSYCHOLOGY! IT'S JUST A BULLSHIT EXTRA COURSE THE STUCK INTO MY PROGRAM! But at least I only got one big bruise tonight. Yay.
Do you know what else sucks? When people assume that since you're new to the forums, your opinion is worth shit.
Do you know what else sucks? When senior members who should know better start pointless threats in order to rant their frustrations.
It's not so much that you're new, but more that you've been making useless threads and not really contributing anything funny or relevant or not posted before.
I took a few courses in fencing. I even sliced open a guys arm with a poorly made epee. Unrelated Moral of the Story: I'd rather bring a gun to a sword fight
took fencing for a semester at school. know what sucks though: kirby but seriously: a vacuum but really: my anthro semester paper due in 2 weeks
I don't think fencing is any more expensive than any other sport...although, if you're going to buy your own equipment, it's going to be :p
Yeah, i think golf is probably a lot more expensive than fencing. We actually have a fencing club at my school that only costs only around $20 for a year.
i am in a marksman's club, but i've always wanted to do fencing somehow... anyway, Well im not new to the forums at all, and i don't think i am taken serious all that much... this is the INTERNET after all then again, i don't mind, i love this place just as it is
I used to use a shotgun, but I haven't fired a gun for years. Time to practice before the zeds arrive... ...but a blade never runs out of ammo... Fencing wouldn't really be of great use against the undead horde. Fencing is about fighting a skilled, thinking opponent. For zeds you just need to be able to crack their skulls while they shamble towards you. A strong arm and a machete would probably suffice. But about the cost. My club cost me $50 a month, and they can loan beginners equipment. My full set of gear cost me $250, and I got middle of the range stuff. A decent club should have the connections to get you basic stuff a lot cheaper. It's the best sport in the world BTW, everyone should at least try it. All the benefits of a martial art, without the macho bullshit.
Hockey is silly expensive. For alright stuff you're looking at 400 and up. Then a league registration will run you around $200-300 a season and you'll get rediculous ice times. I played through university in super old hand-me-downs and $15 a term for a student league. Not sure I can afford it after I graduate.
