Apparently the road is no longer closed so we can go visit saffron city, might be a good training spot. Place is crawling with rockets and they won't let me in the gym. Well we're in Saffron atm but it's useless, so I guess our only option is to grind a bit more and head back to Celadon to clear the rockets out for real. Wild kadabra's now I have seen everything. I realised we hadn't yet been south of Lavender town so I checked it out. The bubbles came hard and fast, and there seemed to be no end to them. When the bubbles finally settled, there wasn't even a body to be found. Complete was taken out God dammit it had to be a fucking crit. I spent like 45 minutes grinding complete up. That's all for a bit I think, I'm gunna go play some other games. Grinding is really slow atm, it takes 30 pokemon that are 10 levels higher than vulkanis to make him level up, and I need to run catchup on 4 pokemon so I'm done for a bit.
Imo, it sounds like the best way to beat this 'mode' is to powerlevel a curb stomping Pokemon like Nidoking, Snorlax, or something equally resilient and just stock up on potions while you blitz through the game. Probably less fun though.
So far candles is proving pretty OP. We'll see but I haven't fought a pokemon in a loooong time he didn't kill in one hit.
Yeah, I was kinda surprised that he let his starter go that easily. I find it a little silly that he basically exchanged me for the exact same pokemon. Shit happens. I think that's kinda the point in these sorts of restricted plays.
None of your deaths were on purpose, every single one has been an unpleasant surprise Seriously, I wanted to get you through to the E4 spartacus. And paradox was a bad call by me, I thought he could tank the dig, he possibly could have but the crit was a complete surprise, one hit KO, no chance. Don't think that any of your deaths were meaningless, every step you guys put me forward is a step closer to finishing. I can't do this alone, and it makes me sad to see the spirits of my bros thinking I didn't care about them.
I don't think you can play this sort of game and not have people totally butthurt when 'their' character dies. Honestly, I was surprised that you even raised Spartacus 26 levels to a Furret (!). That told me that you are serious about keeping every single pokemon alive for as long as possible. Still, I find it ironic that it was basically a zero sum death-catch.
