i swear those are the most exillerating thing i've ever seen, edge of your seat stuff. I had the beta and i thought it was quite cool. But then I got tried of it for some reason and stopped. For mother russssssssssssia
The one thing Empires has missing in commander mode - having hundreds of enemies rushing into their base.
The online multiplayer is pretty weak, but the campaign is more awesome than everyone in this thread put together. The missions are well-designed, the story and voice acting are actually good... it's just great.
Alec Baldwin was the narrator, i hear. But yeah, its one of the few campaigns that I actually cared about the characters. I even missed Bannon's chatter near the end =( Oh, and Beat the entire level with 5 heavy tanks and 2 repair tanks, didn't lose any of them.
Haven't played WiC yet, as I'm pretty sure my computer can't run it, but take a look at this random video. :D & I agree with moar Ground Control!
To be honest, I think the main problem is that it's a little TOO rock-paper-scissors-y. If you have tanks and they have helicopters, you're dead, end of story. If you have helicopters and they have AA, don't even bother. If you have infantry and they have any amount of forces surpassing, say, a golden retriever, just pack it in.
This game was already made. Its called Squad Support, and its a map on Starcraft. Oh, and Starcraft does it better.
