    I still give them 0 chances against portugal and germany.
    Its going to be a giant upset if they win.
    Im sure portugal is sore over their buttreap, but if they loose to USA as well, i bet some heads will fly.

    It was an extremely lucky win for the US, whenever I see them playing I wonder how a ~300 million people country can manage to select such a mediocre team.

    Not much of a wonder seeing as most of the athletic and not overly bulky guys aspire to play stuff like baseball or basketball instead.
    Also, places like south america or europe are highly competitive, teams spar all the time, have their leagues, etc. Whos gonna play with USA teams? Mexico?

    It's true.

    So few ducks are given, it's a miracle the team is even remotely competitive.

    All the people I know are taking about the us open (golf), not the world cup.

    Probably the second worst game in the entire world cup as well. Every 30 seconds the ball would either go out, there'd be a foul, or they go offside. It just kept stopping and stopping and stopping. America also had bad control of the ball, everytime it would get near their players it would go flying in some random direction. They got the first goal at 30 seconds because they had fantastic control of the ball, then they forgot how to play for the next 80 minutes.

    That was a fantastic first goal by uraguay, but the second goal was ridiculous, how does England manage to let that happen. The American teams are performing fantastically.
