That's true, but we've coped so far. They're probably next on the list after the NF rax and shotguns.
I'd hate to be pessimistic about the game I once loved, but is there any chance that this stuff will be implemented sooner than 2 years from now? Yes, sadly, this is a serious question.
Chris probably doesn't like palmbay, or moors, or in fact any empires maps. Except king. Prolly why keef is mad.
It has more to do with the fact that he was once again derailling a thread with a high-fallutin ego-driven pseudo flame disguised as constructive criticism in a thread which had the primary goal of guiding a new modeler (!) in his initial work on empires. He baits flame wars as much as possible because he has some ridiculous repertoir of high language low-blows to which no one else can hold a candle (lolpun) unless they give in to his abuse. There is no compromise with Chris, and in a collective effort to welcome and guide a new modeler (!) that behaviour, which is once again loosely disguised as "help" is disrespectful and counter productive. Notice that cahemdue has not posted on this board since the incident. Keef is absolutely right, Chris needed a kick in the pants, he needs to learn to work "with" people instead of "at" them. fixed
And this modeler also insulted all of you, pretty much. From what I saw in that thread, the modeler was asking for a kick in the teeth. You can find people of his caliber anywhere. Not that I like Chris or anything, he can annoy me....that modeler is just an ass too. You people just accept it because the idea of new models makes you wet your pants.
At the cost of having an asshole working on them? Nope. If you found someone incredibly skilled that could take design drawings and turn them into in game models, sure. Go nuts. Don't go nuts over someone still learning and being a prick.
