Why this mod has such a weak player base, which will drop My suspecions have been confirmed. There is nothing wrong with this mod, it is the player base. And its nothing to do with pros being kind to newbs, its not so much that the noobs don't read the manual. Its more that there are no pros at all later on in the evening (GMT time). I just played a game, where half my team were scouts, 3 camped base, and the rest didn't do damn all. I moaned and bitched and cried and no one did anything. It was the most boring game of my life. The other team was much the same. This is whats driving the player base away. We need at least 2 pros on each team all the time for the game quality to be good, so eventually the noobs become able to sustain a good game by themselves. If it doesn't fix, people will get bored and be driven away from the mod. Hell, if it was my first game, i'd have given up on it, it was soo dull.
Say what you want about Epic, but at least they're consistently around on the Ghost, which is usually enough to give a reasonably good game, with the ghost guys around.
lol yeah, at night, u often see drunken players on the servers - more than in any other game i know. dunno why... maybe a way to bear noobs, who ruin he game with their dumbness and inability to read? @topic: servers are nearly empty in the early morning & forenoon. all of them. best time to play is evening (GMT).
I gave up playing the game and joined them in spectator, was a hell of alot more fun than acutally playing the game XD
I don't care, its just that the good player base is scattered. But everyone I see is either Canadian or European. Canada FTW
If the game has to be learned from other players, that doesn't mean that the game must always have other players on, it means the game needs to be made easier to learn.
I disagree. Have you ever played IL-2 Sturmovik (or any other semi-heavy to heavy air simulator)? It's the kind of game where you don't get noobs, because it actually needs commitment to learn, and after learning it needs commitment (lots and lots and lots of it) to get good at it. You don't have people using five minutes to get their plane into the air just so they could shoot their own team. These two games aren't really comparable at all, but I think the analogy works. You make something hard to learn and the learning will actually be rewarded with committed players who don't fuck around. Less griefers and complainers means a more fun game for everyone.
me, you, Sparkeh, and im gonna guess Wealthysoup (he sounds irish), lol 4 people, we should start a private clan! :p
