I assume we're all Empires/HL2 players here, but what else does everyone play? What genres, and what paticular games? Maybe we could get some Empires community multiplayer games going. >;D
Well, I can tell you in words, what I'm playing right now: WoW, HL2Epi1 and finally jet still Diablo2LoD. And Empires of course At this time, there is no need for other games. Since the day before yesterday it was only WoW, D2LoD and Empires and before Empires was released, it was only WoW and D2LoD. Well, there are some other Steammods (or games), but I don't play them as regular as these games (CS:S, SourceForts, HL2CtF to give them a name).
I like fps and RTS mostly. I mostly play singleplayer these days as most MP games tend to be filled with such silly design flaws making them more of a frustration than a joy. This goes for both FPS and RTS Games I play most at the moment: Multiplayer Battlefield 2 Singleplayer GTA: San an Risk 2 Games I like to play every now and again: C&C (tib dawn - Yuri's revenge) Final liberation Dawn of war Total annihilation Freedom fighters Worms 3D Ground control 2 All I can think of right now =P
I have abandoned RPG's since my frustrating, make it to the fourth disc and fail a million times final fantasy days. All I play now are FPSs and racing games. Oh yeah, has anyone every played kingdom under fire the crusaders? I've been stuck on that game since 2 Christmases ago, and it's really fun, but impossible. Fucking rpgs.
I like a good mix of game genres. Starting from FPS's like good 'ole HL1/2 mods, to older space sims like "Wing Commander", to RTS's like "Age of Empires III" or "Battle for Middle-Earth 2", to MMORPGs like "Matrix Online", to adventure games like "Knights of the Old Republic II".
I always cheat with RPGs. Baldur's Gate 1, 2, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale? Console console console lol Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics? Glitches glitches glitches Still have a hell of a time though :p
I play quite a vairety, Action, RPG, Strategy and Simulation are my favs Currently, my main game is MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries (MekTek MekPak 3.02a) Other games I've been playing reicently: Command and Conquer (all except generals) CounterStrike: Source Advance Wars (GBA original, havn't played the others yet)
Empires ocasionaly, thats it really. Maybe the odd game of micromachines with my flat mate. Bring on the Saga megadrive!

PC -natural selection -empires mod -really enjoyed black&white2 -used to really love starcraft, warcraft, empire earth - hence the love of this game Console -Final Fantasy series only (not the MMO) Burn in hell -all MMOs - I hate them all (they feel like "work", I should be getting paid to play them then)
I'm getting back into my Gamecube games, mainly Soul Calibur 2, SSBM, and Wind Waker. Other than that, Armadillo Run, Empires, Sven Co-op, Dystopia occasionally, Dawn of War:Winter Assault, Worms Armageddon occasionally, a bit of GMod, Trackmania Nations, but other than that, anything that I havnt played for a while and fancy another go at.

how is guild wars anyways? I hate MMOs but I did play a beta of guild wars way back. It was supposed to feel like diablo2 but it was way underdone when I tried it.
Guild Wars isn't a bad game, but it really irks me when people refer to it as an MMO, or try to compare it to WoW. It is a 3D Diablo 2. Granted, it's much more like what you might expect Diablo 3 to be like. There's minimal grind, and the game is centered around PVP. If you don't like PVP, don't play Guild Wars. There's a huge PVE campaign, but once you finish it, you're essentially done with the PVE content entirely. Maybe that's worth the $30 to some. Haven't tried the expansion yet. I hear 5 sucked, so I just got 3 again. But yeah, HoMM 3 FTW!
Ive been playing alot of Guild Wars lately. Tomarrow im going to get Guild Wars Factions. Also play Counter Strike: Source. Wish X-Fire would include Empires so it doent look like im playing Counter Strike:Source all the time. (usually don't have X-Fire running when I play Guild Wars) X-Fire just added Empires to their games list my call has been answered.
