I loaded a game of canyon today (I've loaded the map several times without a problem), and within a few seconds of the commander vote starting my Empires completely froze for 30-40 seconds. When I alt tabbed out of it the following message flashed up very briefly before also disappearing. After 30-40 seconds the game continued as expected from the point where the freeze began. Note: My name isn't Thomas and that folder doesn't exist on my PC. Might not be enough for you guys to go on but I thought I would post it so theres a record.
Encountered this before, it's probably trying to draw a panel outside of those pixel bounds (if I recall correctly). A bit odd?
I thought that only happens if debug .dlls are committed, but then I remembered that the game won't launch if you're using debug dlls. And then I tested it and debug .dlls will still run normally. Just hit "Ignore All Asserts" and you won't see it, at least not until the game is launched again.
Thomas the candle.... I don't see a retarded kids TV show being made around that. Although I did find this...
I noticed the game freezing up as menus opened. Randomly not all the time. Pressing esc would unfreeze it.
Looking into it some more, what the fuck? Asserts shouldn't be getting thrown if the game isn't running debug .dlls. EDIT: What the double fuck? It only throws the assert if I use release .dlls, but not if I use debug .dlls. I suppose I'll just comment it out for now because that's weird. It doesn't look like it's causing any problems anyway, so it should be fine.
