So how much heat does that thing produce? I mean I wouldn't want that thing short circuiting/catching fire/voodoo magicing so close to my head. Other than that it looks cool.
Internally, 130 F with the fan on. Through the plastic case it might get warm to the touch at the hottest. You should be more concerned about the self destruct system that goes off when you die in virtual reality. Uh, thanks
only returning customers are affected and the product is supposed to last for life so I don't think it's a big deal.
I was watching this like at 4am so pardon for asphyxiation induced dumbness, but what exactly is this supposed to do?
what I never really did grasp with such devices: What stops me from running against a wall in the real world? when I use VR + spatial tracking + positional tracking I am still blind. [stike]I know there are those weird concepts of zero friction walking matts but that is not real walking.[/strike] okay this is nice but I don't see where Krenzo's product fits in.
The video would have really profited from another short introduction to its use. What can this do what an occulus rift can't? I mean, they track your head movement as well. This community has such a weird interest in male hands. aka having a girlfriend.
spatial tracking --> TrackIR / freeTrack / what occulus can do positional tracking --> BrenodiaLabs / other custom build things like it
That's funny that you guys have maybe seen one or two myspace angle photos of me from over ten years ago and think that's how I'm supposed to look like. This is just a short video for those people who keep e-mailing me asking about my progress. It was not intended to show the whole system and what it does. That will come in my next video, or watch the first one. My system will let you move around your entire room and bigger. The Oculus Rift just tracks your head if you're sitting down at your computer.
I don't mean to insult you, but why hasn't someone else tried this? I remember you had a video that explained the various VR techs and why your tech was the best. I loved that because of the perspective that it gives me on VR tech as a whole. However, I'm still wondering why a relatively small outfit is pursuing this style of VR, but the big players aren't yet there. Is it a cost issue?
