Does the game give a different message depending upon how a vf dies? Meaning, if it loses health to sab and dies, does it give a different message than if it loses health to nades and dies?
Just want to push this bug. Played today again on escort and the vf was sabotaged. It is just stupid how one scout can decide this map. The result is every time a boring stalemate.
I'll keep sabbing it until the map is fixed. We had about 5 scouts on the team just trying to sab the VF, and alas, we have succeeded. It's really not that hard to counter, get enhanced senses, you are done.
Then you should be banned from the server because of griefing (using a bug to win). It is just impossible to keep the VF alive. Or do you want to play scout with enhanced senses and camp for about 20-30 minutes at the VF?
Exploiting is creating an advantage that you normally wouldn't have by using a bug. Sabbing the VF on Escort is something you would do anyway if you had the chance, respawn or not. It's not your fault the disadvantage is a little bigger than the devs intended. Comparing this to griefing is bullshit. And I very much doubt the claim that "keeping the VF alive is impossible" for BE.
It's unimportant how you will name it. Escort without tanks is just boring. NF knows that they have won. BE knows that they have lost. But both sides must wait until BE has no more tickets. And it's impossible to keep the VF alive. You won't find someone who will camp for 20-30 minutes at the VF. Or will you do this job?
You really should learn to phrase your thoughts properly. "It's impossible" != "It's a nuisance to have an engineer on it 24/7" The only way to get into the VF is to go through the gate, that, check this, CLOSES UPON THE PRESS OF A BUTTON. If you want to win tell your team to close the gate after they get a tank. There, problem solved. Now that I've stated that, the map is obviously broken, but it's not that hard to keep the VF alive. I'm not doing anything outside of the game. Coming up to a building and sabbing it by walking all the way there is completely legal. What happens after that is none of my concern. You guys will make anything up for your cause.
Be realistic. This will never work with 30+ players on one side. So one BE player, who doesn't close the door or one NF scout will decide the game. Many games on escort were epic, because they were decided in the last seconds. But without the VF this map is crap for both sides.

How about people stack BE instead of always stacking NF? Problem solved. The map isn't an hour long stalemate and everyone can have a little fun
