Hi, I'm having some problems with creating vehicles... The ones i cant make: Imperial Tank, Imperial Heavy Tank, Both jeeps, NF heavy tank... Everything else i can create... I dont know whats wrong, tried making my own server... I had enough res, the weight was fine, but the 'Next' button was not clickable...? Please help me with this.
You have to go to the Armour and Engine tabs and make sure that your vehicle has an armour and engine
No, other players were buying and driving tanks. And yes, I did make sure it had an engine... I heard someone else say that he couldnt create these vehicles too in-game but i forgot his name.
Make sure that you have all your weapons bound to a fire key. It won't let you build a vehicle if one of your weapons are not bound to a key.
I'm thinking what really needs to happen is that a list of blocks (reasons why the tank cannot yet be built) needs to appear in an extra pane or something to the right of the main window.
I have the same problem sometimes too.. It will just say something like, Engine type (standard) not made for chassis (AFV)... Haven't seen it happen for some time now tho...
I get at random moments an issue which won't let me build a vehicle through the key which brings up the vehicle customization menu. I'm inside a VF, I press the key, everything is set and I press build button and nothing happens. Then I do the same thing through the use key by pressing on the flat screen and then the vehicle pops out of the VF. Anyway. Just make sure you have armor, engine, weapons, weapons are bind to keys and check that you have enough res and the weight isn't too high and you should be just fine.
If you are BE and use the V key in the VF not in the creation room a vehicle will not build, unlike in NF VF the use of the V key does work. So BE you must use the creation icon in the side room. Dunno if this is a bug or on purpose. I don't believe it really affects gameplay at all so I did not think of this as a bug.
In order to create a vehicle. You must: Add an armor with at least one layer of it. Add a weapon and make sure they are bound. And an engine. If it still don't work, then somethings weird. The V key works for both factions also.
You must be completely inside the vf for the v key to work. Standing on the ramp at the entrence of be vf doesn't count. Just walk till you're past that first pillar in the BE vf add you can use the v key no need to go into the room.
Ok I managed to reproduce this. Start reloading a weapon outside BE's VF. Go inside while it is reloading and press the key to bring up the vehicle customization window. Now, try to build one. Whoops, it doesn't let you. Or at least it went something like that and it was related to reload. It happened multiple times on BE's side. I have to report this bug as soon as I can.
