Vehicle Factories on Flag Maps

    It seems to me that at the beginning of flag maps it is each teams first priority to kill each others vehicle factory.

    I think it would be far more fun if there was a vehicle factory health multiplier on the flag maps, so that it couldn't be destroyed too early. Also maybe a voiced warning, like you have "Our defensive turrets is under attack.".

    The best solution is to have ML and MG turrets pre-placed to guard the VF at map start.

    I made the vf's invulnerable to the others team weapons in my vehicletraining map. It doesn't work against the engineers tool though.

    That would work well enough..... if the enemy team deconds your vf you deserve to fail.

    yeah 2 grens can kill a VF in like 10 seconds and it would take a engy over a minute with the tool

    i agree.. would work better then currently

    What about the emp_escort vehicles factory? It's the only way to stop the weapons of mass rape which the Brenodi Empire can use to kill 1-5 people in one shot, and without proper aim.

    NF just mortars that VF in escort to death anyway, so right now it's a matter of exploiting the most.

    I'd be all for making buildings in capture maps invincible, but I'd like to see the weapons of raep leave that battlefield.

    Maybe they would be better as buildable objects, that respawn 5 mins after they're destroyed.

    Anyway, on this page is explained how to make buildings invulnerable to the enemy's weapons, except the build tool. Broccoli and solokiller have explained it very well, so i think everyone will be able to use it when making a map.

    i think everyone rushs VF's.. its just common sense

    Not really most times I've played we can make it to the vf before the other team even has a tank/apc.

    People mortar the vf on escort???? I've always turret climbed in and killed it as engy.

    I think turrets + the only decon thing would be good. I think this would help make urbanchaos less spazzy with flags getting capped everywhere.

    respawning VF's (long long delay, e.g 10 mins) is the way to go in my opinion

    Yeah, unrecoverable errors tend to get people down, so they're less likely to win. As long as it's possible to recover (no matter how hard) people will always fight harder to recover, and thus the game will be a lot more heated and fun.

    How many Escort games have been abandoned because BE VF got ninjaneered? Same with Streets Of Fire on 1.08: once the VFs are gone the map becomes another turret-spamfest that District used to be on 1.071. Respawning VFs would at least give the losing team a chance.

    Turret spam fests on 1.08 district aren't quite as common. People try to (and I mean REALLY try), but I just take the sewers and nade their turrets ;)

    Using the sewers takes up a whole new meaning when people spawn in the buildings connected to the sewers.
