    Folks,

I suggest that an additional icon, a class icon, be added to the player's corpse so that Engineers can prioritize their resurrection pattern, if need be. This would help alleviate the need to continuously open up the scoreboard to see what class that player is, should they not be in your squad.

This is a good idea, however personally I would prefer that each class was given a different look, so that it wasn't just the same recycled model carrying a different weapon. Impossible to tell what class you're against the second the enemy pulls out a pistol, or like you said, once they're dead.

It could easily be implemented by reskinning the existing models as that would only require a texture edit.

ehm, some are already looking different by theire hat ;-)
but yea, different/unique looking over any marking prefered!
(but modelside, not just reskinning - major reason is that parts of the skin can be hidden regarding of the corpse pos - another are dark maps where you only see the siluette of a corpse - and again another is the intendet "unite" looking to the enemy - while that isn't much of a concern in reality and only because of "friend/foe identification", in gameplay its a feature to surprize your enemy with your class specific weaponary!)
adding backpacks to grenadiers as example - they carry by far the most equipment and still are dressed like for a cocktail party xD
    (a military themed ofc^^)

Making a new skin for an existing model is doable for anyone with an application like substance painter / photoshop / gimp, creating a new model is a lot harder.

If someone were to make new skins this feature might actually make it into the game.
