i havent been able to play 2.4 yet, but had no problems with any version before. I know this isnt an empires error exactly, but perhaps theres another empires gamer who has figured this out or can interpret. its only been happening since the new version i get an error in terminal that repeats wine: Call from 0x7bc49e20 to unimplemented function ADVAPI32.dll.StopTraceA, aborting fixme:ntdll:RtlNtStatusToDosErrorNoTeb no mapping for 80000100 any other ubuntu empires gamers??
Not much of a wine guy, but this sounds like a bug that popped up in Oct. It was supposed to have been fixed in 1.5.15. Here's the bug report related to it http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31861 1) Check your wine version 2) Try setting your wine to winxp 3) Reinstall wine
