turret upgrades

I just heard that engineers' turrent upgrades cost res rather than being free for the team like the basic turrent. if thats true then why is it like that and how come theres no indication for the engineer that he's costing his team resource?

if its not the case then I shake my fist at ghost whatshisface. bah

 

That may explain why some times I have trouble upgrading them while the team is low on resources.

They are turrents. Anyway, sometimes I haven't been able to upgrade my turret too, not to jump on the bandwagon or anything :p

It costs 25 res an upgrade. Roflcopter I had a game of escort where nf ran out of money. Hysterical.

And I believe they are free.

One way to test, play Cyclopean with no one else. There are no refineries when the game starts. Build your Sentry Gun and upgrade it, check your res.

I don't think upgrading your own turret costs your team res. Would be pretty stupid if it did.

25 Res Per Upgrade Level.

50 res for a Level 3 Sentry Gun.

Afaik engineer turret upgrades are free. Maybe a bug?

 

Turret is correct, but the community made up turrent and can't stop talking about it, so both are correct.

repair upgrade and revive are generally much better, more useful skills, and they cost nothing. there's honestly no need for upgrading your turret to cost money.

"A common misspelling of the word 'turret', usually made by people with a fourth-grade education."

since it seems that there is a cost - will it stay or be removed due to it being ridiculous?

 

on the topic of names: THIS IS NOT TF2. THEY ARE NOT SENTRY GUNS. EMPIRES AND TF2 ARE 2 DIFFERENT GAMES, SO PLEASE, FFS, STOP USING NAMES FROM THE 2 INTERCHANGEABLY.
