So let me get this straight.

After years of trolling and getting banned, Empty finally does something useful and BAM! He becomes a mod. So far he's been giving out infractions like candy on Halloween, and wields the banhammer as a caveman wields a club.

But, why is this so bad?

After all those years of creating an environment which accepted, fed, and in general, took care of trolls, the general populace of these forums became trolls. Minor quips here and there, usually no argument; the home? The Black Hole.

So! We have all of these trolls, these trolls have a home. These trolls were entertained through lolicons, games of infiltration, and fresh meat in the form of new players.

Alas, it could not last. With his mighty penis of adminism, empty the mods closed down the Black Hole.

Now, here's the big question (which the mods won't answer because they can't).

Why?

There was absolutely NO REASON. The mods didn't have to do ANY moderation in the Black Hole other than Porn, Warez, and Governmental shit. Occurrence of posts of these types were few and far inbetween. In fact, most of their time should be occupied by the other sections where the actual game is discussed. They should be watching every post for snide remarks that could insight a flame war, or perhaps watching for offtopic-ness in a serious thread. But hey, I'm not a mod. This is just something that's common sense, rite?

No surprises here. Empty lost his trolling touch, decides that he doesn't like it anymore, bam, it's gone. Would this have happened had Empty not been a mod? Hell no. I'll see you all in a week for being a free-thinker that questions the leadership.

 

Kylegar Brutos or Krenzo would have had to remove the blackhole afaik they are the only 3 that can.

 

Yeah, your anger is misdirected. Empty does not have access to do such things nor was he behind it.

To be fair, the black hole was getting a bit of a mess. Empty threads and threads such as "Hi" as the entire content was not what it was a few years ago.

When I joined it used to be a forum for discussion of unconventional topics about likes, dislikes, why the world went round, Dawn of War scheduled games, etc. Not to spam the forum constantly like it's your blog space.

 

If you want to troll so bady go the fuck back to 4chan. This is intended to be a community forum for EmpiresMod players, not a troll cave. Seriously...

 

So why don't we take away hamster's privledge to make threads and we can all be happy?

 

It was Kylegar. In short, your shit about Empty is entirely unrelated. I know for a fact that Empty had basically nothing to do with the removal of the black hole section. It was completely Kylegar. I don't necessarily agree or disagree with the decision, but I'm just saying, it was Kylegar.

 

Oh no, now the trolls will spill out into the main forums, kill good threads, make bad ones, and generally spew meaningless garbage posts. Our highbrow discussions are d00med.

 

normally on most forums off-topic is for what the actual blackhole is, and general discussion is for what off-topic is. so maybe we can resort to common traditions until the off-topic forum goes down.
