Cooling: CPU: Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 4x 1400RPM Fans in Push-Pull on top of the case. Spoiler: Details This WaterCooling has 4 fans, push - pull, each running on 1400RPM max, so its not as loud as double fans running few thousands RPMs. I was originally hoping they would all fit into the case along with the radiator, but I had to put 2 fans on top of the case to fit it in. Even after doing that, there is barely a milimeter space between the fans casing and the RAM slots so I was quite lucky So 2 fans and the radiator are inside the case and 2 fans sticking on top of the case and covered with dust filter as it is taking the air inside the case and helping with air circulation for motherboard and pretty much everything else. Case: -2x Front 1400RPM -1x Back 1200RPM Spoiler: Details Case: - 2 Fans in the front of the case running 1400RPM max. Taking air in. Cooling HDs, helping GPU take some hot air out from around it and providing some motherboard air circulation. Same fan models as the water cooled ones. - 1 Fan in the back, in the upper level of the case. Taking some air out. Stock fan from case, running 1200RPM max. - And I made a little ventilation in the back of the case in the lower level under GPU from the unused PCI slots on the case. As you can see on the inside photo. As the GPU was after some time raising temps to more than I was comfortable with. Seemed to have helped, along with adding the second fan to the front. -There is also pretty big outtake on the side of the case when its closed The PSU is on the bottom of the case and it has its fan coming out of the case on the bottom, so it doesnt circulate any air inside the case. It takes air in on the bottom of the case, which is covered by dust filter and its coming out of the back of the case. And yeah, I wish I could disconnect some of the PSU cables I have to store them on the bottom there. I know its not the best air circulation and there is maybe a bit too many air intakes for the not so many outtakes. This CPU could go over 4GHz on 32-bit system, but its a problem to go above 4GHz with 64bit system and no crashes. I could have it stable on around 3960MHz, but at 1.55v which is the safe maximum and its also quite more hotter. So I decided to put it down to the highest 1.5v stable. Voltage: CPU NB VID control from stock 1.1v to 1.25v CPU Voltage from stock 1.375v to 1.5v MB: FSB OC from stock 200MHz to 229MHz NB OC from stock 2000MHz to 2519MHz HT Link Frequency from stock 2000MHz to 2061MHz [-1 multiplier, tryed to keep this one close to stock] FSB also overclocked the memory from 1333MHz to 1526MHz RAM: RAM OC from 1333MHz to 1526MHz Timings from 9-9-9-27-x-x to 8-8-8-22-30-1 GPU: Core from stock 925MHz to 990MHz But I only use it in some games and apps. Monitors: Both monitors from stock 60Hz to 75Hz and I try to set 75Hz in as many games as possible. Seems tiny bit smoother. Misc: Also many many tweaks in windows and etc... Also optimized DPC latency and BIOS settings and god knows what else.. ..I always mess with things BIOS: Here is all of my BIOS settings: All BIOS Settings I have pretty much reached the point when any further upgrade to this PC would be rather quite huge including MB, CPU, RAM and few other things all at once. So my plan is to buy those as a next upgrade and keep the cooling, GPU, probably the case, and such... Thats pretty much why I bought the water cooling for this one (and the case), so that I could squeeze the little bit more out of it and then take the cooling and other parts for the next one, reducing the cost of the upgrade in the future, because I would want to get water cooling for anything next, right from the start. And the case would be also necessary, which I bought along with the water cooling. my setup has not changed, this new thread is invalid. 6600k@4.2 aircooled, 16gb, gtx 970. Still no space under desk to put feet, still messy on desk. Newest additions: MX Master mouse and CM-Quickfire KB + gelpads for both. Oh and a steam controller and steamlink that both see no use at all (got them for basically free by selling a single skin for rust). Still have x220t to carry around and barely use at home and work.
