Does anyone else get the excitement about PVKII? It's fun but 'the release that will change the face of modding'? Please. Get over yourselves. People are lapping it up though. I can't see the popularity lasting.
By the way how much is an Engine license? Also this is the best mod for HW2: http://www.moddb.com/mods/3583/pirates-mod I mean look at this ownage battleship (it rocks!!) http://www.moddb.com/mods/3583/pirates-mod/images/30356/pirate-capital-ships#imagebox
It's between twohundredthousand and fivehundredthousand dollars, and i don't know why it varies, different sources state different prices, probably due to agreements made internally between VALVe and the company buying the license.
I promise to u all if I become a millionare Il happly pay the money for the licence for empires. (im being serious)
(not copying hilllbilly, was gonna post this yesterday but forgot and didnt know where) If I ever win the lottery, I will buy Krenzo a license for the source engine as long as it doesn't use more than 75% of the winnings.
talking of other mods, have people stopped modding for source or something? and why is every mod a shooter? i don't understand why there isn't a single physics based mod (discounting garrys mod because it's not competative)
anyone want "other mod" nights? we pick a mod the week before and a night to play it on, then we all bumrush a server and have a game, and discuss afterwards i desperately want to play desert crisis again http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DrEJkqbKLCg
Now that's a cool idea. Though I'd have to pass on HL1 mods. and Battlefield mods. But I'd totally participate in an event like that.
How about Red Alert: A Path Beyond mod? http://www.apathbeyond.com/ It is totally stand alone mod, at least I got that picture, even it is called a mod. I think they got the source code of Red Alert: Renegade or something. Anyway, Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising is coming too. I have that A Path Beyond installed but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
