I see you are sad about the fact you cannot be a Rambo dude taking your heavy asault rifle and killing 20 people at once. I love the new weapons, this game is about teamwork not about being a loner.
Give it time. I found the new weapons awkward at first, but in few days I found that I liked them better than 2.2. Due to the difficulties associated with porting to OB, it is almost like an entirely new mod.

Now I'm not saying that this means the weapons are bad "wins" but I'm saying take a look at those numbers, 50% of a decent sample size, dislike the new weapons, now I'd say that average might continue across the entire community, it might swing one way or the other, but 50% is a shitload of people. Just think about that.
Good for me means not fucked up. Bad for me means totally fucked up everything except BECAR falls into the good category due to its low killing potency. i cant say that the new wepon system is "good" as in a improvement of the previous. the previous one had its +/-, same goes with this one. (excluding becar which is a massive - in balance) perhaps the true question is: "Is this worse than the former ways or not?"
What percent thought the old ones were bad? Just because 50% think the current ones are bad doesn't mean its not an improvement. Moreover, its natural that people dislike change it throws off how you play and how you expect things to happen to happen. There have already been people who have said they didn't like the weapons at first but now they do. I've never liked the new weapons at first in any new version of emp but they grow on you when you get used to them (I still want 1.073 nfar back though). as usual fail post
You don't have to make them exactly like the old weapons. Just a reasonable approximation of what people expect them to be. NFAR: Death ray. NFHR: Semi-auto death ray. BEAR: Death ray. BEHR: Ammo-plenty death ray. HMG: Spam gun when crouched, death ray when prone. SMG1: Low damage death ray. SMG2: Death cone.
From what I've seen about people posting most of what comes up is the falloff is a bit extreme. Maybe just go through and bump all values by 50%?
I don't understand why everyone hates the BECAR. It is a good weapon imo. YES!!! However, I think that the new weapons are better balanced than they were in 2.12, but they aren't as fun as they were.
I like the new weapons, it's different but you have to get used to it. I killed a bunch of guys on the Nacho server with NF assault riffle last night and I used a medium tank to drive over 6 guys that were hiding in a pit and I did not have to feeling that driving got worse? There was a lot of lag, but I think it was my pc that's coming to end of life (same pc as I played Empires on during the BF1942 period). It's different, but as many others stated, at least, give it a try!
Phear my scoped bolt action pea shooter! sniper rifle is no longer a sniper rifle.. closer to an m1 from the old days.. Seeing the way the game plays I'd say its a step backwards tbh.
Changing a weapon that wasn't working as intended to something closer to what is intended is always a step forward, you just don't like being unable to snipe.
It seems that all the scout and rambo-rifleman players hate the new weapons. Half of them say "NF weapons suck, BE weapons are so much better" and the other half say "wtf? NF weapons are so much better than BE weapons!" which is pretty confusing. People need to get to grips with the fact that every gun has its preferred range. If you're on a long range map try using a long range weapon (BEC/NFHR) instead of spraying NFAR at them and complaining that they don't die. AND STOP USING THE FUCKING SCOUT RIFLE. IT WAS NERFED SO THAT YOU WOULDN'T USE IT ANY MORE. PICK A REAL CLASS YOU STUPID DIPSHITS.
It is not a sniper rifle, you think it is, but since we make this mod, and anything we say about it is true, it's is not a sniper rifle. It's gone now, so no point in discussing it any further.
Unless you give us more information on WHY they suck, we can't do anything about, so if you're just going to post "these weapons suck", "you suck", or anything like that, please, just close the browser before posting it.
I fear infantry battles have degenerated into 20 riflemen clustering around 2engineer built walls,and only shooting the people who dare go across the 30 feet between the opposing teams wall.Going rambo was the only FUN way to play a rifleman,sitting behind walls and shooting your little red paint balls is NOT fun.Also,the engineer is now the most powerfull class,since the SMG2 wasnt nerfed,you can be like a rifleman.And than on top of owning any rifleman that come near,you can build bases,turrets,cameras,repair most everything and take down buildings with ease.Riflemen are the new scouts.
NFAR is basically more powerfull smg2 right now BEAR is kinda the same , only diffrence being you have to click the mouse 1 like mad to get any effect Behr is just as it was NFHR should be like powerful at longer ranges but its mediocore-bad due to dmg drop SMG2 is like the only really good change imho, its not a riflemen killer as it was ,lol Dmg drop overall is way to powerfull imo Pistols were fun to use with their sniping ability in 2.12 but its not really a loss, since it shouldnt be long range weapon. NF shotty pistol is still useless :p Be pistol 2 is fun to use but not really usefull Scout rifle, well, who gives a shit, its being removed anyways ar1's should be less accurate then in 2.12, agree ,but not spray and pray like they are now. Edit: to those who say that current system improves teamwork . Like how does it? its only more annoying and less effective
