    Commander Suicide Glitch

I'm reporting this glitch because its am oversight, and can be used casually and frequently by experienced commanders to provide a major informational advantage to the team.

Glitch Description: Hop in a comm vehicle. Go into comm overview mode. Now, move your view over to any area where you would like to know if anything on the enemy team or enemy buildings are there.

Once you are looking where you want to recon, kill yourself. Your corpse ragdolls from the point you were viewing from, and it looks just like if you died in that area: You can see absolutely everything there. It would provide a major advantage to anyone searching for an enemy commander or looking for something in particular, and only costs a reinforcement ticket.

I'll add a demo later. By the way,its hilarious to spawn my corpse over the enemy team and then they wonder why the fuck corpses of the other team are falling from the sky.

I wonder if you could revive that corpse with the medic's revive skill? Someone try this and screenshot it.

No, you can't revive. But you don't know how entertaining it is to know where the enemy VF is, then drop your corpse right on the path between the enemy barracks and VF and watch enemies come out, look at you, and spend a good 30 seconds trying to figure out how the fuck you got there within the first minute of game play.

Also fun, drop your corpse right by the starting position of enemy barracks within seconds of start of game play, watch confusion on falling sky corpse. Suffice it to say I've delayed reporting this glitch for a few days out of shear amusement

I've seen a body fall from the sky, and knew this existed, but I never thought about how to make this advantageous. Funny stuff.

Is it possible for the body to land on someone and kill them? That would be pure win!

people keep screaming that but I've revived many people that suicided (through console)...
You can most definately revive people that killed themselves...

Well... I think this is kind of an exploit (ghosting) if someone were to do it.

The devs are busy with other things, and it really isn't high priority. Sure, it can be theoretically exploited, but in practice few comms are going to want to leave the CV empty while they respawn and come back.

Haha, I encountered this back in '06 when I comm'ed for the first time. I spent like 15 minutes dropping my corpse on the enemy base.

Could anything be done about this? To my understanding of the way the comm's 3rd person view works there is no way you could fix this.

Is it possible to disable /kill while in comm view? There isn't any reason why anyone would have to use it; even if they get stuck, they can just switch to the driver's seat.

I more than most people here know that Krenzo is busy with his life. I;m so anxious to have this bug fixed, that I didn't create a bug thread about it, and I didn't email Krenzo about it.

We should probably just put this on the bug tracker for future RCs as a "minor" code bug.
