I'm sorry guys I admit I was wrong. God willing I'll get over this affliction and go back to being 100% right all of the time. I'm not saying it will be easy, but with Paradox's help I believe I can do it. I'm sorry to the people I have hurt, mostly me, by being wrong, once. Ever.
weighted flagging means if enough people flag in a short enough time the vid gets demonetised, unlisted and you get a strike against your channel. The strike stays untill a youtube staff reviews your contesting the strike. This can take weeks. One strike and you can no longer upload videos longer then 15 mins or so and can no longer stream. 3 strikes and your channel is deleted. How is that not horrible if 3 heroes can get your channel deleted in a 15 minute collab? tl;dr you are wrong and il enjoy you ignoring this post.
sigh... again, there is a difference between flagging and weighted flagging... heck just flagging something once as infringing your copyright can and has brought down videos depending on your claim. its amazing seeing some of you googling something for 5 minutes and thinking you are an expert.
"No you" thats what you are saying right now, im calling you guys out on something and you go "no, you" pat yourself on the back, internet argument won for sure.
I have no clue what this argument is about Im just here to act like a child like you are in every other thread
where and what the fuck is this weighted flagging thing? it doesnt even exist dmca notices are different than flagging videos please go eat bugs
also weighted flagging is something called that by youtubers and youtube, none of this is stuff youtube publicly advertises... heck there is an invitation only service on youtube already that allows you to flag multiple videos in one go but almost no one got it up until now. but i bet you didn't know about that either. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2803402?hl=en the only reason people dont call faul on thisone as much is because maybe like 50 people actually have been approved of the program. Youtubes obviscation of the rules makes it so basically only youtubers know exactly what is going on since they can do the math.
As always, the policy team at YouTube makes the final determination of whether content should be removed. bugs
removed or demonetized or even just in 'under review' status is not the same removed is fucking removed, gone from your channel... anything triggered under a weighted flagging is under review, most of those also are demonetized meaning if you have a gazillion views you get a big fat 0 euros from that video, including if you win the case 2 months later and nobody gives a rats ass about your video anymore... there is no retroactive reinstating of monetization. this is how channels are subtly censored, by taking away their bread and butter income, although naturally nothing stops them from alternative income generation.... its worth noting videos do get strikes against them from this process aswell and 3 strikes (even if still under review) means your account is gone. The channel IHateEverything had his account removed by getting 2 strikes from weighted flagging in 1 day + 1 historical strike iirc. Luckily for him the outrage created made his channel get reinstated but it should illustrate that i am not pulling this out of my fucking sphincter. so yea The policy team at youtube takes several weeks to get this sorted if your video gets flagged down, and all the while you have a strike against you, meaning that if people spam your channel with flags your account will just be removed before they ever get to see your piece of shit video that was flagged.
