Hey guys, The wiki still needs some help being updated before 1.08 goes public. If everyone with some some spare time could chip in and edit some pages adding info and tracking down faults and errors, it could be the ultimate Empires resource. Right now it's almost more valuable then the manual (in my opinion). http://wiki.empiresmod.com Also, another point I'd like to discuss is that there's a couple of uniformity issues with the different pages at the moment. Lay-outs that don't match within categories, disfigured wikipages due to odd positioning of images etc etc. I'd like to discuss some solutions on what would probably look best and maybe set up some more templates.
-- title -- text | pictures text | graphs more | or text | whatever something like that for a layout?
The manual got updated, it's using my new version (which right now is of course far outdated because of the 1.08 changes, lol).
omg what's wrong witht his wiki? On... Off....On... Off....On... Off....On... Off....On... Off.... :/
I blame Krenzo for everything wrong with the wiki, all the time, at all times. How dare he not program the game and also constantly log the updates and changes and tips and suggestions and whatnot in the wiki!!!! Seriously, though, the part that I CAN contribute to, i.e. map comments and game hints and tips and whatnot, you know, the non-technical stuff, needs upgrading. Alot of that stuff is from 1.03, or older. I'd do it myself, but my inability to play alot of the RC means I'm really not qualified to make changes.
Well a summary of all the weapons and the damage they do, accuracy, .. etc would be nice, but there's no point in doing it now since bodrick will be balancing them pretty soon. An updated research tree would be nice as well, displaying the correct locations and research times. And yes, some of the new maps can be added to the list of maps. But i'm not doing it, cause i'm lazy :D (and i'm in the middle of my exams) i'm glad i have access to the mapping part again though!
We've been having a small amount on the wiki for the past little while. I suggest joining in on the fun. User discussion pages are great for little jokes, and most people make some changes to the useful part of the wiki while they're there. So come, make so changes, and stay for the fun. Arklansman's Talk Page User talk:Arklansman From Empires Mod Wiki This is where you comment on user pages!!!!!! --The Buttery Lobster 00:29, 24 June 2007 (EDT) You know, speaking of ridiculous amounts of editing, it's all really pointless unless some newbies actually bother to read this stuff. Hopefully they will do so when they are attracted to the new 1.08. If they don't, I will cry.--The Buttery Lobster 003, 24 June 2007 (EDT) And then they will read the talk section of all the edited pages and realize what an immature goober I am. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!--The Buttery Lobster 00:56, 24 June 2007 (EDT) Feel free to delete all these ridiculous comments I made.--The Buttery Lobster 22:23, 24 June 2007 (EDT) Hey, I can post here and look like I'm lonely too --Knighttemplar 13:24, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
hey, that's private material! NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO READ THE WIKI EVER. GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE! That's it, KT. You're my archenemy for the week!
I nominate the removal of the Empires Wiki for lack of notability . Damnit I wish Wikipedia admins would commit mass suicide.
We'll show those bastards! We need a big giant media blitz! Pictures! Status Updates! Trailers! Exclamation points!
We could probably write up a notable article, what with the moddb thing and all. They kept dystopia for far less. I mean, as long as we link to a pretty trophy picture to pacify the judges.
There's a WIP Empires wiki page in my signature, although i haven't checked it for a while. I know the Gnome to removed the so-called non-free image, even though it is free, but don't mind about it for now.
