Love the new (painted) model, blizzerd already pointed out some issues, a bit bigger backgrip (and a better trigger?! I dont know if thats visible ingame though) then Ill be clueless whats left, maybe instead of green lamps use blue or turquoise ~BE colours~? *thumbs up*ove:
Am I the only one that thinks this doesn't even remotely look like a shotgun? When I see this, I think Russian WWII PPSh-41.
I think the 2 red leds show the last two shells of the shotgun ... amirite? @Jekotia: Fuck realism, right? And the PPsh is thinner, i dont even know why a shotgun in Empires should not look a bit similar to a MP in RL ... Its not like we have to do uber unique shit with lazors... ;P
It's nothing to do with realism, it just doesn't look it's part. Yes, fuck realism. But don't fuck logic. This looks nothing like a shotgun except for the handle which reminds me of HL2's take on the French SPAS-12. A shotgun shouldn't look like a machinegun, IMO it just doesn't reflect well on the mod. I'm not saying its a bad model, but to me it's one of those things that makes me think, were I a noob to Empires, that the devs are somewhat clueless. Edit: I think the model may benefit from a larger bore. It looks a little on the small side if you use the handle and trigger for size reference.
so vess did that, i made that exact one but didnt like the barrel so i edited it a lil bit and then more, but that was the origional design
No, brenodi uses drum mags this concept should be used for the shotgun, too. And it exists in RL even when it doenst matter.
Yet drum fed shotguns barely exist. Go with a clip. NF can get a tube fed one. The only drum shotgun that looked right to me was the Pancor Jackhammer and that (theoretically) sucks. Most auto-shotties these days are clips anyways
It was already discussed that brenodi shotgun should use a drum magazin, hell, it HAVE TO (thats decided, resistance is futile) /Edit: link4u: http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=10243&highlight=drum not only here but also in IRC and so on discussed, imo the drum has a belt inside which youll never see, so its a beltfed drum mag if youre intrested in weapons, if not, its a game and should look similar,
