Thoughts. Like / dislike? Personally, I'm on the fence about the weapons, but I haven't played yet. But the whole golden wrench thing just annoyed me. I enjoyed the previous updates far better, in terms of the whole atmosphere valve built up for them, like the soldier / demo war and the spy hijacking the sniper update. This one seemed kind of weak after those, despite the kickass comic.
The weapons are fucking amazing. Get the fuck out of here with your bitching, for gameplay this is the best update ever. EDIT: They made fucking engineer stalemates FUN
I don't see how the manual control of the turrets is going to get used that much, or the shit turrets he can drop. The new shotgun looks nice though. I don't play TF2 much, or rather, I just started playing it for the first time in about 2 years. I miss the beta, when everything was simple and just better.
The mini sentries are great for dropping in the middle of a fight, the shotgun is just fun in general and the manual aim is great for making sentries in the open a lot more powerful (although it doesn't do as much damage)
One of the achievements involves healing and supplying another engie's wrangled sentry, so I suppose not. That's a path of destruction..2x RoF + Limited ammo, hah.
The little combat sentry runs outta ammo extremely fast while under direct control of the wrangler, although the mini lvl3 sentry glitch is hilarious , also it has infinite wockets, AND ENGINEER CAN NOW ROCKETJUMP :V. The best thing about this update imo is the ability to relocate your buildings.
Yeah but most miss. I've used it, it's not as powerful as a normal level 3 (also it's hardish to aim at long range) And sentries run out of ammo when wrangled, FAST
I still say that making such updates loooong looong after the game was released is just a marketing move and screwing core gamers.
Wait, dont' the level 3 sentry rockets have infinite range meaning you can just build a level 3 on two fort and shoot rockets at the opposite teams battlements all day with the wrangler?
Not that is matters since it will take all of two seconds for skins to come out that make you feel better about your self esteem that make your wrenches seem like there gold.
