Don't worry about it Dizzyone, I'm currently just using this as practice =D, besides I model quickly, and then I run into the muck known as "Texturing" so hell, I may actually just go the full mile and give EVERY one of these props a normal map, oclussion map, and etc. Edit: As to where I'm going first, I'm going to start with scaling down the current trees, because that is probably the simplest thing ever. I think I can actually also do the buildings with all the animations...
Since it's for practice, decompile the BE dropship model, remove the cargo container, then recompile. Then mappers can attach them to random objects for pure awesomeness.
How about a 3-part tower like a giant obelisk, with a wee nod to Command & Conquer's 'Obelisk of Light'? Or a multi-story Atlantic wall bunker? http://lh5.ggpht.com/_0dLbxLoUp0M/SHrC2eK5SXI/AAAAAAAABLk/lePO0nrofgI/WWII_Tour+0184.JPG And maybe a hull-down tank bunker http://www.ping.be/~p4u00782/35.038.B_diorama.JPG
Ask a dev if they can give you access to the tester svn, because there are all models source files. You can toy a bit them them and learn Empires unique style better.
Actualy I need new props because for some reason the old ones fail. Whenever I place in hammer they get transparant in game and flip upside down O_O
Eh, I have a 4 day weekend coming up and since there's so much to do, I'll figure it out. Edit: Problem is I don't know where to start.
For my new map I could use some rocks and modeled cliff parts. Think of the rocky mountains and you know what I mean. Empires lacks rocks
Just start with the first request then the next one if your done... Or just start with the one you think is the easiest to make.
