I can't think of a way to communicate it to players without being gimmicky as fuck. Also we haven't met our 2-line suggestion thread quota for the month. Keep pumping em out.
Cooldown MG = water cannon? I kind of like this, I guess. Would give us more support - oriented players stuff to do later in the match. Wish that "Utility" slot for APC would be brought up again, I loved the ideas in that
I feel it's better for us to polish what we have, rather than deliver new things that are hard to take care of.
I want to be able to sit down with my engy tool and control all local MGs or MLs. I want a damn mortar turret!!!
Plasma is meant to be a support MG, though more offensive in nature. It just doesn't work. Until there's a straight forward way to quantify supporting and reward people for it, people just won't use them. But Regen/Coolant MG is probably a bad idea anyway.
Just thinking late game. Engineer on foot is basically a lost ticket. So it would be nice to have a way to repair tanks on front line besides being on foot. So a repair mg could allow you to heal a bioed heavy so it could at least make it back to a repair pad.
Let an engy spend a skill slot on a perk for his jeep so it shoots healing drones that stick to tanks
No, this is terrible. At least in bf4 it is, it really is some of the biggest bullshit. Though, it is only 1 engy and it is kinda slow, but damage is also kinda slow, so yeah no don't do that. It will make tank fights even longer and more boring.
You do know how fast an engineer can repair a tank, right? My favorite trick to taunt a Gren while driving an AFV : Let him hit me => get out and repair that side => get back inside => let him hit again...until he's out of ammo. Now I can do that inside the vehicle.
We used to be able to do that you know. We used to carry an engy in second seat on the heavies.... they were very hard to kill.
Engineer repair could be turned down in the vehicle scripts. Always thought it was a bit too high. Engineers should be able to cancel out Bio. But not fully repair a heavy in under a minute. That's what repair pads are for. The only vehicle that should have the engineer repair set high is the CV. The biggest issue is late game. People (mostly noobs) being on foot blowing threw tickets. You have the com screaming to get in tanks. Then others screaming for repairs. Kind of confusing to new people. Then they get yelled at for using tickets. So just trying to think of a way to repair while being in a vehicle.
give engineers a VEHICLE REGEN skill, so that if they are in a tank it regens slowly, stacking additively (so a filled partybus regens superfast, but then there's 8 people sitting in an apc jacking off instead of shooting)
I only did that to vets. It's not worthy to taunt newbs. Just telling you how fast an engi can repair a tank.
