??? how would this work you can always just tell your SQL on voice chat or teamchat to maybe do something and i can't really imagine how would this work

If nothing else you gave me an excuse to post my own suggestion I've been holding on to regarding context sensitive spotting: spotting a ref point calls for air support. Too bad I don't think it's implementable.
I don't see why it couldn't be, refs are an empires entity stuck in the map right? Or does that spot feature have no way of interacting with that type of entity?
I'm pretty sure you can interact with it, same as you can squad target any entity like grenades or map breakables - it's just if it works anything like other entities do with squad targets the area you can hit with the spot/target is very small so it's useless.
Ah yeah forgot that's probably a tiny point. I'm so used to those geysers that I thought it would be like that size.
? an excuse to post your own suggestion (because mine isn't covering your idea) or an excuse to do not post your own suggestion (because i overtook the term first - arr ) or does it already exist? could be hard, idk the structure of source engine well enough to understand it - but theo. you just need to detect those res points and check if player are pointing on them (just like spot buildings) edit: we clearly need a pirate smiley!
Rather the problem in targetting/spotting small things is, that there is a delay between issuing the order. It would be nice if it didnt create delay when the order was not successful. And thats the top 1 annoying thing when issuing orders.
