strange red box / could be blood ?

while playing a districy game i noticed a strange red box on the telegraph pole.
i first thaught it was a spray logo, bt it wasn't and instead looked like blood that had found its way there.

the red box only appears one one side of the telegraph pole.

 

I didn't see anything about blood in the video, but I saw an object that disapears when you look at one side of it... I hate that in games, and apprently it's a habit for Source-based games to put that everywhere.

it looks like blood because its a dark red blood colour , and it sort of has some streaks through it.

 

Ohh, I see. It looked funny before, but only because the pole thingy up-top is 2D FOR SOME REASON. I'm not sure about the blood, maybe it's the effect of nades + physics + bloody bodies?

 

yeah , i think what happend was a blood spurt landed on the poll , but the top of the poll is only so big , so the blood can only go as far as the edges.
