Once upon a time, on servers far, far away, Steam used to be US dollars only, then one day some prick thought "We should add global currencies!". So they did. They introduced the pound for the Brits and the Euro for the rest of us Euros, without converting it. So, because the US dollar is worth less than the Pound / Euro, we in Europe had to pay tonnes more. Mad was induced and Steam finally budged and lowered the prices for us Euros. But, even after lowering the prices, we still sometimes have to pay more than US / Non-Euro users and Euros were mad ever after. The end.
Having to pay more now though most likely comes from licensing cost companies have to do when selling to international markets, instead of just a lazy conversion (or lack thereof). I'm not fully sure though how international stuff works digitally. The system could be abused though, by connecting through a proxy from some crap-currency country and getting cheap ass free games.

Not really. Weird thing is that I can't really understand why the fuck I'm laughing. It's like I've become that baby with the microwave. I know whats coming, the video up until the last frame is shit... then I just crack up and laugh.
FUCKING HELL. I should have waited to get Medieval 2 total war gold. I could have saved $7.50. I need more steam wallet cash. I also need to save my money for college textbooks though...
Well, my main anger is that I would have had more money to purchase other things. I may just have to dip into my textbook fund a bit more.
If that's any comfort to you, i was close to buying Legend of Grimrock before i realized my time constraints. Sometimes you just have to set priorities. Also, the GTA pack deal is awesome, unfortunately i played all the GTA series already.
is LA NOIRE any good? Installable on real PCs without 10 hours of checking internet for fixes or fixing the other 5 programs that need to be running? would it be enjoyable with gamepad(not ps3/xbox-pad)?
LA Noire tells an amazing story, doesn't have much other stuff to install, and should be fine on a gamepad.
Kinda, actually. It's a gametype that hasn't seen a store in over a decade, or more like 15 years, and it's one I like. So i'm pretty eager to see it sell. Also thought that people here would be into that kind of thing a little more than -none- lol.
